I bought this book (together with other books) to study and prepare for the NICET Level 1 certification. None, not even 1, of these questions showed up on the NICET exam. These questions are too easy and do not reference the code section where they arrived at this answer.If you want to prep for Level1 use the study guide below. Honestly, that's the only book which the questions were very very similar to the actual NICET exam...some of the questions spot on. NICET Fire Alarm Systems Level 1 Study Guide

Nice Book for the Price
Nice quality book. Plenty of mock test information but I just wish the reference material was made available in the back of the book.

Bought this book and also studied NFPA 72&70. I passed level 1 NICET! Unfortunately it doesn't show you where the answer is in code but a lot of the questions and answers were in the test. Plus you'll lean some stuff that wasn't on the test to step up your knowledge

Do not use for NICET.
If you were new to the industry and just learning about fire alarms this book is great. If you are actually studying for NICET Level I, you will be better suited spending the money and picking up copies of NFPA 70 & 72.
