TRUSTECH Heater

I love how quiet this heater is. I just wish it's more efficient. I use it in my home office (which is in my bedroom, not a big room), I really have to keep it within 3-4 feet from my body to feel the warmth. The room will warm up a few degrees after running it for a few hours, but it's really not sufficient as a room heater. Also, my husband dropped it yesterday when moving it, because it doesn't have any handle to carry around. The little drop broke the roller frame, which is made of thin plastic. It's now on 2 wooden feet made by my husband. Not worth the money.

The media could not be loaded. I was going to purchase another heater brand, a Bionaire- A radiant heat model, not a MICA type model which we had bought from Amazon back in Feb 2018, for around 89.00. It is now listed for 119.00 on Amazon. So, because of the price increase, I looked at this Trustech one which uses the same type of MICA technology as the old Bionaire. Upon assembly and my first use of the heater, it emitted a smell from new paint, or other material. I then immediately took it outside and After about an hour on high, the smell was greatly reduced. We then brought it into the house, and amusing it now. It does not seem to work as well as the Bonaire. With the Trustech model I only feel heat rising from the top. ((( With the old Bonaire MICA model I feel heat radiating out from the front side about 12-18 inches. My dog loves that. It uses ambient air and then heats it, creating "Convection currents" which then cycles cool air from the floor to the ceiling. Takes about an hour to fully heat a 12'x14' room.))) Regarding the Tustech, Time will tell how well it holds up. I will follow up in a few weeks/months. There does not seem to be any website for this device which deeply concerns me should I need customer service.UPDATE Dec 5 2018- AND EVEN More Bizarre- I bought this on Dec 1, 2018 for $84.99 and today, it is now listed for 74.99!!! 10 dollars less than I paid for it, 4 days ago. Unbelievable!Update- Dec 17 2018. I have returned the Trustech heater as it does not live up to expectations. Again, this is an almost identical heater to a Bonaire MICA heater we have had for many years, but sadly ,is no longer made. The last straw with the Trustech was when I placed it in my cold office, about 10x12 room for about 2 hours. It barely made a dent in the temperature and that was the final straw. Shipped back to Amazon on Dec 17, 2018. I hate being a beta tester.FYI- from an engineering standpoint, I was building and maintaining industrial ovens with ratings of 500,000 BTU's or more in the early 80's.

We bought the TRUSTECH Mica Panel Heater with Adjustable Thermostat to use in our unfinished basement to keep the pipes from freezing during the cold weather. It does exactly that. It keeps the air around the incoming water line at a safe temperature and we can rest assured knowing when we return home after an extended trip during the cold month that we won't have a burst pipe due to frozen line.

I have propane heat which is not very cost effective. I have tried traditional space heaters but hate the fan noise. I tried oil filled space heaters and couldn't tell if they were doing anything. I tried these on a whim, I purchased two of these heaters and after a few days, I am very impressed. I have about a 400sq ft room that was at 62 degrees, this heater (on high) brought the room up to 70 degrees in about 1.5 hours. While the room was heating from the convection effect, I was comfortable from the radiant heat produced by the panel. Last night, I slept nice and warm, 20 degrees outside, 70 in my room, this panel on low and my gas heat turned off. The only complaint I have is the "new heater smell"; I had to run this in my garage on high for a day to get the plastic smell out of it. Let it 'burn in' where the smell won't bother you and you will be happy with this heater. Lastly, one of the two heaters showed up damaged, and was promptly replaced. I have some older panel heaters in my upstairs bedrooms, and will likely buy two more of these to replace those.Edit 12/24/2018: one of my two heaters has failed. Started acting funny about 3 days ago, acting like the thermostat was overheating. Now it doesn't work at all. Worried that the surviving heater might do the same thing.

It heats our bedroom very quietly. Only makes some small noises when it first comes on and when it goes off. Seems a little flimsy but that shouldn't be a problem. A screw had fallen out of the center support but I found it in the box and reinstalled it.

First one I got came broken and with loose pieces inside so I ask to return it and I got a new one. Second replacement also came broken but with less pieces loose inside. I needed a heater and couldn't wait for more returns so I started using it and it worked but not as specified, it couldn't heat a small room it just heated close to the unit but once u walked 3-4 steps away from it u couldn't feel the heat anymore then after some days maybe a couple of weeks, it stopped working. Now I will return it to get my refund and get another (different) one. I don't know why Amazon reccomends it. They should know better what to reccomend. Also I bought another "RECCOMENDED" item from Amazon before (cellphone case) and it also came broken and I returned it too but that time I asked for refund instead. I'm sure that's not something related to Amazon good or bad RECCOMENDED item but their deliveries are damaging the items cause I don't want to believe they can RECCOMEND items that usually arrive broken.

Bought this heater for the bedroom because it is completely silent. It heats up very fast and provides a lot of heat. We are able to keep it on the efficiency setting because of this. It looks modern and sleek like a flat panel TV. It would be simple to mount on a wall. The metal screen on the front gets warm but not hot to the touch.

Pros: heats up quick and silent when it's turn on maximum.Cons: Bought this in February 2019. Stopped working December 2019. There is a loud clicking/cracking noise when the unit is not turned up to maximum from the metal plate expanding and shrinking. If you have it on max, then the plate is constantly being heated, so there's no noise. Basically use it on max or not at all.
