Very good quality, buy more hooks
This is a very sturdy pot rack and very stylish. I have two minor gripes with this that are not the fault of the rack, because the item is clearly and accurately described.1) If you have a decent collection of cookware, you definitely need more hooks and they're somewhat pricey. I have 12 hooks on mine and I have no worries about it holding up even my seriously heavy duty 15" cast iron skillet that probably weighs 15 pounds just by itself. There is probably easily 75 pounds of cookware and miscellaneous stuff on there.2) The top shelf should be about 3-4 inches deeper. My mixing bowls feel like they will fall off at the slightest movement, because it's just too narrow.

Harmonizes well with stainless steel appliances and is not quite so overbearing as pot racks suspended from the ceiling...
I have admired the design of this pot rack for some time and, by virtue of a recent move, now have a kitchen for which it is well suited. The rack accommodates a sufficient number of pots and pans for small to medium size kitchens. It harmonizes quite well with stainless steel appliances and it is not quite so overbearing as pot racks suspended from the ceiling. It is well made, in America, of both foreign and domestic parts.Another reviewer mentioned problems when mounting the shelf to wall studs with 16 inch centers. One solution would be to securely mount the rack to a finished wood base; one just a little larger than the dimensions of the rack. The base can then be mounted to the wall studs where they lie.

Great product, didn't work for the project I intended ...
Great product, didn't work for the project I intended though. Regardless, I would recommend it as a wall mounted pot rack as it's well made and lends a finished look the the kitchen.

The Gray Color Reads As A Dark Brown
I ordered this item in gray for its sleek look. It is a very, very deep gray that can also read as a brown in person. The color in the photo is lighter and brighter than what you will receive. Other than that, it's exactly what I expected. I called customer service regarding the color and they were nice and helpful.

Adams needs to work harder
They should include at least 2 more hooks. 6 is not enough. Of course, you can buy more, but the are overpriced. The wood was a little rough on the top and bottom edges of the rail that holds the hook. Not a big deal, but let's have a little better craftmanship... after all it is supposed to be from Vermont. The mounting instructions are sparse. A better job could have been done. Note that the instructions read that the metal support brackets must be mounted into wall studs; hollow wall anchors are not recommended apparently. This does not give much flexibility in where the rack can be mounted, especially if you have limited wall space. So, find the studs in your wall and figure out if this rack will fit in your kitchen before you order it. Your studs will need to be 16 inches on center (the metal brackets can be positioned anywhere along the rail, but the furthest apart you can get them is about 32 inches, so if your studs are 16 inches on center your are fine). Also, if you choose to flip the metal brackets the other way around(the instructions say this is OK to do), with the large curved bracket on the top, that is fine, and everything fits fine, except that the top wood shelf drops down in back of the rail hook, it does not sit up on top of the hook rail as it would if the metal brackets were installed as shown in the picture. Having the wood shelf drop down in back of the front rail is not a big problem, it just changes the appearance, and you can not slide items off the shelf because they get caught on the hook rail, which acts as a lip on the front of the shelf. You have to lift them up over the front rail.

Good
We needed a pot hanger that could be configured to our needs. We have a specific use case mounting them over the kitchen sink between the cabinets. This worked because above the cabinets where the ceiling meets the wall, there is wood header, so it made mounting safe/easy.We like this pot rack for our needs. We don’t have a big kitchen and wanted something out of the way to limit clutter but save cabinet space. This rack can be mounted either way (we flipped it “upside down” because that made sense for us.) we ordered two more hooks to have enough.I think the other Amazon reviewer, Mark Franko hit all of the possible cons. One thing I’ll add to the cons list is that the mounting brackets don’t lay snug to the rail, so it can be tricky to get them to line up straight.I would recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, well made and fairly configurable pot rack.
