Rikon 10-306 10″ Deluxe Bandsaw

This machine is outstanding. It performs as advertised and I am proud to own it. I can now re saw wood which will make my projects so easy and save money. After watching a multitude of you tube videos for several months comparing all the 10 inch band saws on the market I can honestly say this is the best. The build and fit of this saw is flawless. It went together easy and it does not feel like 83 lbs. which I thought would be a problem but it is not, maybe I'm stronger at age 72 than I was 10 years ago (LOL). The 3/8 inch blade that comes with it is VERY SHARP and cuts through the wood like butter. The saw is smooth and quiet. It is a pleasure to work with such top quality as this Rikon Band Saw. My shop is a 120 sqft shed so all my woodworking tools are on casters to move them in my driveway to do my woodworking tasks. I now own this saw for a few weeks and love it. Aside from the door hindges which are made of plastic, I thought was a bit odd considering that most of this saw is made very well. Tech support was top notch when one had to be replaced they sent me out a new set. I highly recommend this band saw.

This has been a reliable bandsaw, just remember that it's only half a horsepower. and that doesn't matter for most cuts, but if you're expecting this to be a good resaw tool, you probably need something nicer with more power. I have a hard time cutting through maple with this if I use the full capacity of it about 3 in is the most you can realistically resaw on this thing which I could do much better on my table saw. It's still very nice to have around for other types of cuts and I don't regret the purchase but it's not a resaw tool.

Did a lot of research and decided on the 10-306. the Easy set up and adjusting was one of the keys to purchasing this saw. The other reason I purchased this model is i have a very small shop. my shop is strictly a wood turning shop so I am sawing several different size pieces of wood from bowl blanks to pen blanks. I would recommend this saw to anyone that is looking for a saw that will fit into a small shop. Been cutting oak bowl blanks and this saw has no problems cutting thru the material.

The fence it so flimsy it is basically unusable, not true in any direction. The wheels are not in line. The saw blade jummped off. It is impossible to make a straight cut with the fence. The suction attachment has an unusual diameter, so there is no way to attach a shop vac. When it came everything had to be adjusted, and there is a screw under the table to close in a corner it is basically unadjustable.

Had a warranty issue. Notified Rikon and got no response at all. I fixed the problem myself. Machine is good. Support not so much.

I have worked with industrial wood and metal working machinery for 38 years as a vocational teacher. Now that I am retired, I wanted a small band saw that was strong and accurate enough to do some hobby and light constructions jobs. After a lot of research, I settled on the Rikon Deluxe. When my saw arrived I had a small cosmetic problem with the frame. I called Rikon, next day, reply, new saw. No questions asked, return postage sent. All done in 5 days. Outstanding service unheard of these days. You call there and a real, easy to understand person answers the phone. Stuff happens in shipping, etc. This company stood by their product. Even the big machine companies don't always do that. My saw is capable of doing everything I would ever expect it to do for me. 3 inch re-saw of purple heart for knife handles, NO problem, morado, NO problem, burl oak, NO problem. If you want to re-saw over 3 or 4 inch hardwood, buy a $1200+ saw. First band saw, read the directions and watch the video, and you will saw like a pro. If you want a compact saw with all of the right adjustments, power and accuracy and service you would every want, BUY the Rikon 10 inch deluxe.

This item arrived today, 7/27/2019.The bottom of the box was damaged and the bandsaw has a scratch / missing paint.In addition, my current concern is that when I opened the box:1) There is no documentation within the box.2) Specifically: No parts list and No Assembly Instructions.3) Therefore, I cannot tell if I have all the parts.4) I will look for the assembly instructions via the internet.5) Hopefully I have all the required parts ; (cannot yet tell as No suitable documentation arrived with this part).6) I do not yet know if this bandsaw works properly or if all the required parts were delivered.7) NET: Am disappointed that this bandsaw arrived with:A) Damaged BoxB) Missing paint on bandsawC) No Parts or Assembly DocumentationD) Not yet sure if this unit is Operational= Quite disappointed with this packaged item and missing contents.
