I absolutely love this! I have used so many that were not helping. I have very big pores! AGHHHHHHH! I tried so many of the big name make up companies and paid a lot of money to always be let down. I really had decided that either it was hopeless or I was going about this all wrong! I wish I could remember how I came across this but I do remember when I saw the price, I said, "it's worth a shot!" When I first put it on I was like yeahhhhh! It's working! But then I said perhaps its all in my head! So I did a test! I put half on one side and compared! Then just to be sure I did it again the next day and asked my girlfriend which side looked smoother. She said definitely that one (the side with this one)! Since I have been using it I now get many compliments on my face! If you read my reviews I am not one to exaggerate. Due to some acne when I was young there are just some spots this does not hide completely. This is not a miracle cure fix all. I just wanted a smoother looking face and this did the trick much better than anything I have tried. My foundation and powder now looks so smooth. Those days of being so jealous of the other girls who had that smooth look are over. I have read many in the reviews who said it was greasy feeling. In a way I understand what they are describing. I have very oily skin ( I guess that why I have such huge pores). But this does not feel greasy or oily at all to me. The best way I can describe it is like vaseline and I hate to say that because it is not like vaseline but as close as I can describe. I have found with make up the best way to do this so it does not clump up the foundation is to first clean your face real well then put it on. I make up my bed and feed my pets to let it dry so to speak. After that it will hold make up pretty good. I put my foundation and concealer and eye shadow on top of it! My eye shadow is paint on and it does not do well with this so I am going to try to some powder eye shadow that will work with this. (anyone got any suggestions-using a yellow and pink that is not very expensive?) But really this has dramatically improved my face and I am so very happy! I’m a 39-year-old grandma (yes, that’s real) with a disabled vet body and a face that’s basically a scrapbook of bad decisions and genetics. Massive pores, fine lines, wrinkles, sunspots, chicken pox scars—you name it. If skin could qualify as a “fixer-upper,” mine would be listed as “great potential, needs full renovation.” The feel: This primer surprised me. It’s smooth, dry, and powdery—like cornstarch, baby powder, or one of those mythical moisturizers that doesn’t leave you looking like you fell asleep in a pizza box. I'm not sure how I feel about this product. It's not that it's a bad product or that it doesn't do what it should, it's just that it's not right for me. What I like about this is that it does have a pore blurring effect like it claims. It also helps your foundation glide easier and not oxidize if you use it as a full face primer instead of the intended way. If your foundation does oxidize and you have this only on your areas with large visible pores you will end up with an uneven color. What I don't like is that I have oily skin and this makes me feel oilier. I feel oily right away even if I don't look oily in the mirror. That might be just a personal thing but I hate that I'm always aware that I have this on and it never feels dry. I also notice this product makes some of my long wearing foundations be less effective and last less on my face. For example, Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous and Revlon Colorstay normally have good staying power on me but with this I notice it wearing off around my nose. The only foundation that I like with this is the Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Mouse. That foundation is hard to blend, very thick and dry feeling so the slip from this helps it blend easier. It's also not a long wearing foundation that normally breaks down and oxidizes on me and for some reason this primer helps it look better for longer. That foundation is also a kind of product that I feel as opposed to being like a second skin, so if I'm wearing that with this primer it's usually for going out at night for a few hours with a full face of makeup. Overall I think this product could be good or bad for you depending on your skin type, preferences and the foundations you use. It might work better for dry skin. Personally I don't think I would repurchase.

I bought both Maybelline Babyskin and Elf Luminous Putty Primer together so I could do a comparison. In the photos, my right cheek has Babyskin, the left cheek has Elf. In the two photos with both cheeks, one is primers only and the other has foundation over the primers (MAC Studiofix Radiance). Baby skin does what it says. It's going to. It even smoothed over a very rough texture patch that I have over dark pigmentation on my right cheek. I can't feel the roughness. I would definitely apply it over my moisturizer and use it alone and then apply my tinted sunscreen or apply a foundation over it? If I want that matte look. It definitely floats the foundation More than just moisturizers alone, which it badly needs. The only thing I have under the foundation is the Baby Skin on the right cheek and Elf on the left cheek. I "skin flood" — usually apply four serums, moisturizers and a tinted sunscreen — before I put out on Foundation. These photos don't show those layers. I only wanted to test the primers. I'll let you be the judge on Elf versus Baby Skin. I reviewed Elf separately. However, I think both of these are great for different uses. I would have no problem wearing Baby Skin alone or wearing it under Foundation for a matte effect. I also tried Bobby Brown primer and Smashbox primer for mature skin. Both were expensive and work more like moisturizers. Maybelline Babyskin and Elf putty are great and cheap! Elf update 4/11/24. After I had it on for an hour or two, my skin on that cheek started to feel like they were raised bumps. I looked at it and there were raised bumps. I washed it off and definitely irritated my skin and caused some sort of reaction. I added a picture. Baby skin is still working fine.

Makes your skin feel smooth and soft. I don’t wear foundation and this product feels wonderful on my skin! Bought some for my daughter and she agrees!

I am a pale-skinned 41y woman without the best genetics, who has spent more time in the sun than I should have, and have ridiculously sensitive skin. And it shows. I have freckles, splotches, oily skin and bad pores, and rosacea, not to mention I break out in hives if I am exposed to a variety of substances, some which by all emtrics should be perfectly safe. It doesn't help that I really don't bother with skin care beyond scrub, astringe, and moisturize. Most days I don't bother with cosmetics at all, because as my mother always said, "My face, I don't mind it because I'm behind it, its the people in front that I jar." True enough. I just don't have the energy nor motivation to spend hours each week and 1000s of $$$ trying to beautify myself. Plus, most cosmetics just feel heavy to me and kind of gross. Basic good hygiene and a bit of effort is good enough for me. That's where this stuff comes in - Baby Skin is my 'bit of effort.' 1. It makes my skin feel super soft all day. 2. It doesn't seem to clog my pores any more than any other product I've used. 3. It blurs some of those aforementioned imperfections really nicely for when I do have to go out in public, so I don't scare people with my face? 4. It makes a great base for when I bother with cosmetics so the make-up stays put (not on the eyelids though, use specific eye primer there) 5. It washes off easily. 6. Its very affordable. 7. I have never had any sort of breakout or reaction to it in the years since I started using it. 8. It is imminently flexible - as in, I can use it when I 'go all out' for a hot date with my hubby or when I am just being a lazy homebody. I am sure I could list more pros, but you get the idea. Does this stuff miraculously fix anything? Nope. But does it make me feel a little more put-together and pretty each day? Sure does.

It's a primer. Use after moisturizing, a tiny bit, let it dry, then follow up with foundation. It reduces the appearance of pores and gives a nice matte look, after hours still face looks matte. It keeps the foundation stay put, increases the staying power of foundation. It's a affordable version of benefit porefessional. I tried it for the first time and I really like it. For reference I have used Mac studio fix liquid, compact , Maybelline dream wonder, Revlon color stay and Bobbi brown foundations stick over it and has worked for all.

Love this new face primer .... cheap amazing product .... as good as Smashbox & quarter of the price ;-)

Ich nutze diesen Primer nun schon seit 3 Jahren und habe es zig Mal nachgekauft. Ich habe zuvor viele andere Marken benutzt und nichts war bis jetzt besser als das. Ich habe trockene Haut, bei mir funktioniert die Base sehr gut. Ich nutze davor eine Tagescreme und erst da diese Base. Es hat eine Vaseline ähnliche Konsistenz. Lässt sich super gut auftragen. Man braucht wirklich nur ganz wenig davon. Ich habe sensiblen Haut vertrage es sehr gut. Das Make Up sieht damit ebenmäßiger aus und hält länger. Ich bin sehr zufrieden damit und werde auch bei diesem Produkt bleiben.
