Might have been the wrong gift.

I bought these for my husband, he plays cribbage with my Dad.....thought the two of them could hurl some clever insults as they would lose. So the insult deck works (example: "Vile worm, thou wast o'er look'd even in thy birth"), but the quote deck is too cerebral for quick quips (example: "Yet see, when these so noble benefits shall prove not well dispos'd, the mind growing once corrupt, they turn to vicious forms, ten times more ugly than ever they were fair.") But all cards have a unique quip....so if you're tempted to quote it before you lay the card, you'll give away your hand!

This was a gift for my granddaughter and she loved these cards. She is a reader and loves Shakespeare.

Love the items, however, they are smaller in size than regular playing decks.
