Two hands firmly on the wheel at all times results in better driving.
The reason why this accessory is so essential is because of the description for the logitech driving force wheel: "900-degree wheel rotation: Go 2.5 times around lock to lock, just as you would behind the wheel of many real cars." The importance of being able to shift gears while keeping both hands on the wheel that is rotated well passed 180 degrees is crucial. In tight curves losing grip on the wheel can be the reason for crashing and losing control which is exactly what was happening to me before getting this accessory. Either took one hand off to use the shift stick, or loosen my grip to pin point the "lost" small button behind the wheel to shift. This was frustrating and completely game breaker. I have used it while playing GT6 and the improvement is significant. Sometimes i press against the edges of this paddles and still hit the button to shift gears, so the range is from edge to edge not just the center.PROS:+easy to install+does not interfere with anything on the wheel, all buttons are accessible+light yet sturdy+improves the driving experience significantlyCONS:-the plastic at the hinges where the paddles are hooked seem a little weak, only time will tell if they survive long hours of use.Overall this is a specialty product, so the price ($55) is all right for me. Is the only option available that is not taped to the wheel and it does work as advertised. I like it and i recommend to anyone who has a driving force GT because without this the wheel is flawed to a fault, the shift paddles should have been there since the beggining

Great Product
I bought this to update my Logitech DFGT steering wheel with paddle shifters. I like the DFGT but lamented that it only had buttons on the steering wheel for shifting and not paddles. If I wanted a paddle-equipped steering wheel from Logitech, I'd have to spend around $200 for their top-of-the-line model, which is too much for me. So I was finally glad to trip across this product in Amazon. The product is all plastic (except for the connecting screws). When it is installed to the DFGT it fits perfectly, as it it was made by Logitech, but left out of the original box. Installation only has a few screws to it so it installs easily without instructions. The product looks good, and it operates well. It makes it easier to hit shifts (I use it with F1 2013). However if you are a newbie sim driver (me), it won't solve all your woes (only lots of practice will), but it makes that practice easier to do. Hey, it even looks cool, too.I would highly recommend this product to all Logitech DFGT owners that want paddle-shifting.

Works as expected
I have to give props for the way this was built. Very high quality plastic and fits the DFGT perfectly. A lot of care and consideration was put into the design. Once it's on, it just "blends" itself into the wheel. The red adjustment dial doesn't seem out to place anymore :)Also kudos to the item's packaging. It came in a windowed box with a moulded plastic tray packed inside for the item itself. Which was all packed in an clean outer shipping carton.I took off a star because of the price. It's just out of the range of making this an instant buy for DFGT owners. It's something you don't really need but once you have it, it's a fantastic piece of kit. I do understand though, that these aren't mass produced which explains the cost of the item. As of this writing the price of the item already went up by $10.00. Demand seems to have gone up with the release of GT6.If you can afford it, absolutely get one. Otherwise, the sequential stick shifter is there for a reason. This is really a premium item for the not quite hardcore driving sim enthusiast who wants more out of their DFGT.

Fixes Design Flaw; It Will Cost You
The paddle shifters were easy to install, and I'm thankful for that because all information about the product except the name was in Japanese. When using the new shifters; it fixed a bad design flaw of the otherwise excellent Logictec GT wheel. They made shifting much easier and quicker without inflicting hand cramps. I would give these paddles a higher score but they are very expensive.

Doesn't worth it!
This shifting system fit very well. However, every single part of it was made by plastic, shouldn't be so expensive, i thought the paddle was made by iron.

Just buy it
Having read the reviews about the DFGT I opted to buy paddles with the wheel and not even bother with the stock "paddle" shifters. These are high quality to the point you would have never known they didn't come with the wheel. The plastic is robust and has a great feel to it and the red mounting section blends in well with the wheels.Pros:1. They work perfectly as shifters2. Nice, large, high quality paddles. A bit flimsier than what you'd find on a real car but they feel 95% the real thing to me.3. If it weren't for the lack of a clutch this paddle system would put the DFGT over the G25 for me4. Takes literally 1 minute to install on the wheelCons:1. You will occasionally miss a shift if you press down at the very tops of the paddles due to flex in the paddle. Simple fix: Always press down in the center2. Not so much a fault of the shifters but the wheel itself, but there really isn't a satisfying click to confirm that the button as been depressed. Just a dull thud.

Must-have for the serious sim-racer
I won't write a long-winded review, but let me just say that this thing really works! It absolutely makes shifting easier and has helped me get better and more consistent in iRacing and other sims. Yes, it's plastic, but it feels really solid. The only small downside is that it encircles the "L3/R3" button pads on the wheel, making a bit harder to find and press them. However, it's easily overlooked because I don't use those nearly as much as I use the shift paddles.
