Seems the oil penetrates deep into the grains bringing out the figured and curl. I used teak oil, Danish oil, polyurethane, shellac and laqure finishes but honestly prefer this product. I prefer it for it's work ability and all natural ingredients not having to worry to much about getting it on you hands and inhaling fumes. It leaves a great 🍊 scent. I will continue to purchase this item.

little bit of a smell that no one appreciate but it went away eventually and the oil is pretty good for the butcher block counter I have other than a smell no complaints
