Another great read
As a massive fan of the Fruits Basket series, I was delighted to receive my v7 copy in the post. It arrived quickly and on time (I purchased mine second hand though)The story continues following a Miss Tohru Honda as she acquaints herself with the Sohma family of the Zodiac animals and when they hug someone of the opposite sex they change into said animal e.g. Yuki is a rat and Kyo is the cat.

Fruits Basket
Fruits Basket follows the life of orphaned high school student Tohru Honda. When her mother is killed in a car crash she is forced to go and live with her Grandfather. We join the story when she has had to temporarily leave her grandfather's house, unwilling to impose on any of her friends she opts to live in a tent. Despite working herself into the ground she remains cheerful and one day stumbles across a house in the woods in which live some of the mysterious of Sohma family. Feeling sorry for her (after the loss of her tent/home) they invite her to stay and immediately put her to work cleaning up the male dominated household.Tohru soon learns that the boys of the house are not quite what they seem, they are possessed by the spirits of the zodiac. The story follows the lives of Tohru and the Sohma family, as they deal with each other and a society where neither quite fit in.Fruits Basket is now finished in Japan and is collected into 20 volumes. In 2003 Tokyopop was urged under huge consumer pressure to translate the series for the U.S. audience and was first translated in 2004. By the fifth issue the manga had taken the title of 'Best Selling Shojo Manga' a worthy credit to this incredibly popular series. This series would form the backbone of any collection and while I'm no where near completing the set I would imagine that I'll collect them all.Vol.7...Tohru and company have been having a lot more fun ever since Kisa came to visit. Now it's time for Tohru to meet another member of the Zodiac--the skillfully sarcastic grade-school student, Hiro! One way or another, this tyke will have to deal with his resentment of Tohru and his affection for Kisa!

Delinquents and rams
This seventh volume of the Fruits Basket manga sees Tohru meet another Sohma member of the Zodiac, but one who has a grudge against her despite never having met her. As well as this we also get to see some of the background of Tohru's friend Arisa Uotani and we learn of her relationship with Tohru and her mother. This is another great volume of Fruits Basket with some nice development for Arisa Uotani. The background for her character is very interesting and it is good to see some more information about Tohru's mother as well. As for the new Sohma character, Hiro, he isn't too likable but there is some nice depth to his character.
