SILCA 'Hiro' side locking lever chuck, Silca presta chuck | Universal schrader chuck attachment, full metal and carbon steel construction, side-lever locking

I was dealing with a lezyne thread on pump head, either using tubeless or latex tubes im constantly adding 4-10psi. Not only the threading, i have two tubless valves on my wifes gravel bike that it just would not work on. This silca chuck head solved ALL my issues, it has never failed to seal the first time.I ride 3-4 times a week, with airing up 4 tires i save 5-8 minutes a day on top of being completely frustration free. One of the best cycling related products I've purchased.

I love this so much, this one is the second one I own. It's for presta only, but it locks onto the stem tightly and doesn't leak. Replacing the washer is easy, and actually the benefit to this is that it screws into a schrader valve adapter. I wouldn't recommend using it with a clamp on style schrader chuck. Silca sells a crimp-on clamped schrader adapter, and there are many other alternatives, but it has to screw on to the schrader valve stem, so I don't know how practical it would be for those valves (the adapter, not this chuck).It's made very well, and is solid. I use one on my manual tire pump, and a battery powered compressor I will be hauling around, when this pandemic crap is over.

Excellent product. Greatly simplifies connection of a presta style air pump supply to your bicycles' inner tube fitting. Also has provided me with a very tight seal eliminating air leakage even under higher pumping pressures. Quick Side-Lever release ensures minimum loss of air pressure when removing from inner tube fitting. One thing tough: when purchasing this item you must also purchase, separately, a Silca Thread-on Schrader Chuck. The threaded female portion of the Schrader chuck screws directly onto the male threaded portion of the "Hiro" chuck. The opposite end of the Thread-on Schrader Chuck is inserted into the rubber hose of your tire pump. Without the Thread-on Schrader Chuck, you may find it difficult if not outright impossible to connect the "Hiro" chuck to your pumps' rubber hose. I could not find an alternate method so I ended up purchasing the Thread-on Schrader Chuck offered, also, by Silca.

Bought this chuck after reading about the most expensive Chuck on the Planet and found that it is (almost) worth it's high cost. There is nothing else like it, and it really does work. Do you need it? Probably not, but if you can spare the change, it really is a game-changer when it comes to convenience and ease of use. No more fumbling around to keep a lesser chuck on the valve, this one works the first time, every time. It does take some adjustment to get it to bite on the valve stem, and the polymer seal will last a lot longer on unthreaded stems, but is easily replaceable when it wears out.

Likes: Holds the presta valve well , zero air leaks when inflating tire , seems tire is inflated to the true pressure gauge reading , well made.Dislikes: Freaking $$$ expensive . Could thrown in extra rubber gasket thing for the cost.

Works very well on TPU tube valve stem, adding significant value, but great on standard valves for tubeless setups and butyl tubes, too. No stressing stems with traditional clamp on heads, no unscrewing valve core when using screw on heads. Adjust preload, push on, turn lever, get immediate pressure reading, and pump.Easy to use, versatile, and better for valve stem health.

After switching to latex tubes I noticed my chuck from my silca pump would not stay on the new style valve stems. It finally annoyed me enough that I bought this new chuck for the pump. Even with the clamp, it still won't stay on the valve stems. The pump, chuck, and tubes are all Silca so they should work together well but they don't. Silca products are expensive and to my mind, not worth the bother.

This works, but I had really high expectations for finding a better presta valve adapter. I bought this with the Silca floor pump, and honestly this presta valve adapter is no better than the one that ships with the pump. I still find that getting a good seal takes a little finesse, and it has a tendency to lose seal while pumping the tire. I'll give it a bit more time to see if there's a technique I need to learn, otherwise, it's going back.

Tut genau das für was es entwickelt worden ist. Und weil manche schreiben, dass der Kopf nicht dicht sein soll, man kann vorne durch drehen die Abdichtung vor dem schließen des Hebels anpassen.Benutze diese auf einer kleinen elektrischen Pumpe und so werden alle paar Tage die Reifen vor der Ausfahrt auf Solldruck gebracht…

I've read all the positive reviews on this with the only negative being the price. Price didn't bother me as long as it was a good product. I've watched the online vids, I'm deffo using it correctly but this is the leakiest thing ever. It's worst than our defence and I'm a Liverpool fan. It's going back.
