Land O Lakes Cocoa Classics, S'mores & Chocolate Hot Cocoa Mix, 14.8-Ounce Canister

Searched for really good hot cocoa and finally found it. We buy the 14.8 oz package. Land o Lakes also makes other flavors, artic ice is white chocolate, my husband loves it. They have Raspberry, salted caramel. You can have a choice daily on your special coffee additive. We put it in a clear storage container and can take a teaspoon or tablespoon, or more... I think 3 tablespoons is a serving. We put the 3 tablespoons in water and add 3 tablespoons of Almond vanilla milk... yum yum

I really like this brand of coco in general but I love this flavor in particular. I drink a LOT of hot drinks in the winter and I switch between chai lattes, various teas and coco. I tend to get overwhelmed by too much chocolate though so this stuff is perfect. It's chocolatey but has the distinct Graham cracker taste and a nice hint of marshmallow which blends together nicely for a well balanced treat. Maybe not the right choice for the extreme chocoholic but hey, more for me.

I have bought this for years at my local grocery store but have been unable to find the larger container. I guess they have just decided to carry the individual pouches. So I turned to Amazon. My package arrived in a timely fashion, and in good, undamaged condition but I was surprised that the hot chocolate was not in its usual cardboard rectangular container with a plastic lid as pictured. Instead, it was in a resealable plastic pouch. They are not easily store in a cabinet because they can not be stacked, which I had counted on. Still the same product, but not as easily used,( hard to get a spoon or quarter cup measure in and out without making a mess) nor environmentally friendly. The cardboard container and lid were recyclable these are not. Kept it, but very disappointed.

This is easily the best hot cocoa mix I've ever tried. No other hot cocoa mix comes anywhere close to replicating the richness of the flavor (all of the Land O Lakes hot cocoas are like this too, not just the s'mores, although the s'mores is my favorite!) However, it used to cost around $4-5 for a 14.8oz canister, and now it is bloody $18?! Have they changed the recipe and added pure gold flakes or something? This cocoa is good, but heavens, it isn't *that* good!

I use a little less than the instructions to reduce sugar, yet the flavor is still the best of the hot chocolate flavor of any hot chocolate that I have tried.
