Very nice quality camera
I had some other Arlo cameras that use a base station and they are of good quality. I wanted a quality camera that could alert on sound for the baby and this camera is well worth the money. It is easy to setup and works great. It even has a battery in it in case the power goes out. I have been wanting to try it in the car connected to a hotspot running on battery to see how that works, but haven't done that yet. This would even be a good camera for a server room or similar environment as it can monitor the air quality, air temperature, sound, and motion detection. As always, 7 days of free cloud recordings with Arlo.

Do not trust this device to work
I want to send out a message of severity. We parents rely on baby monitors to function so we know if our child is in distress. That is the main reason we opt for a high priced, video monitoring, temp and humidity monitoring baby device.DO NOT TRUST THIS DEVICE TO NOTIFY YOU.Multiple times I have woken at night to find my device has disconnected or froze. One morning I was holding my baby, looked on my phone and she was still pictured sleeping in her crib without notice that the app was no longer working. I am outraged that this device is even still available and being promoted. This has been ongoing since August, they have replaced my device after trying to convince me it was my network services and not their device. Now, my device won’t even charge.Again, if you are looking for a reliable device, do not buy this.Pros about the Arlo: when it is working, the video is great quality. I like the features of video recording and the fact you can still have the noise go through your phone even with your screen off. The light and music feature(when working) also is neat.On the note of the music feature: it has options of downloading other sounds from their cloud - these don’t work and since broke the whole sound option. It’s now decoration and it’s worthless.

Best indoor cameras!
These are amazing indoor cameras that can be used for anything no just a baby monitor/camera. I purchased these because I have tons of other arlo products and I wanted some indoor cameras since I only had cameras outside my house. I looked into buying the Arlo Q cameras however they were more expensive if not the same price as these but they didn’t have as many functionalities as these Arlo Baby cameras. I decided to purchase 3 of these for my house after studying up on them a lot. I have never been happier with my purchase. They are wonderful for my house and I don’t even have a baby. The night light functionality on the back of the camera is also handy at night. The best part about these cameras is that you don’t have to own any other Arlo cameras and there is no base required!! I have over 14 arlo cameras now and these are the perfect edition!!

Good video monitoring quality
I really like the clarity of the video monitoring and that the camera is easy to move from room to room as needed. I wish the camera provided a way to adjust the view without physically having to move it. A few connection issues with live video, but it may have been my own internet connection.

great to give parents less stress
We were hesitant to move our daughter into her own room since it is all the way over to the other side of the house and our old, outdated baby monitor was black and white with a fuzzy picture and less that perfect sound. I found Arlo while doing some searching and instanting fell in love with it’s functions. I love that I can set it to monitor to let us know if the baby cries or if there is too much movement. It’s also great for when the babysitter is here and making sure she keeps the baby on our preferred sleeping schedule. Great quality picture and sound, I also love that I can talk to her through the baby monitor. I’ve also used it to talk to the dog too when he goes in her room during the day. Overall great product through and through.

Important notes for iPhone/iOS users
We bought this primarily because of its cloud functionality, specifically the ability to send push notifications over LTE or Wi-Fi. We already had a more traditional baby monitor but the layout of our new house made it important to be able to use the monitor when outside of RF (radio) range. For example, I wanted to be able to go mow the lawn while the baby was napping, or walk across the street to the neighbor's house after bed time, and have my phone alert me if the baby woke up.At its core, this product works great - but it has a fatal flaw that is specific to the Arlo iOS app. This also affects Arlo's home security camera products. The big problem (and it's a big one) is the notification method on the app: When there is an alert sent to the app (baby crying, robber trying to steal your car, etc.), the alert tone is not configurable and can only use the default message tone (usually a quiet "chime"). There is no way to select a loud/annoying alert tone, override the phone volume, activate the vibration, etc. In practice this means you will not hear the tone if you're sleeping, or even if your phone is in your pocket - unless you set the tone to something else and always keep the volume on. Which means you'll get the same tone when you get a Facebook message, or any other app notification. Many similar iOS apps allow you to choose a custom alert tone (say a loud "siren" sound), configure the vibration settings (so you can "feel" the alert in your pocket), override the phone's volume settings (say you turned the ringer switch off and forgot), and otherwise allow you to make the alert sufficiently loud to get your attention. So this is not an Apple problem, this is 100% a NetGear problem. And it is a huge problem. If a thief is breaking into your car at 3 AM, the Arlo cameras will detect it and send a single, quiet, almost-inaudible "chime" to your phone, which will not wake you up and you will never know until it's too late. This is a major problem for a security system. Users have been requesting this be fixed for almost 5 years and NetGear has not added this relatively simple feature. As a bonus annoyance, it's available on the Android version of the Arlo app, so they obviously know it's important - they just can't be bothered to implement it on iOS. Or perhaps they fired their good iOS developers, or maybe they simply don't care about iPhone users. Whatever the reason, it is a major MAJOR shortcoming for a security product that renders the whole thing almost useless in practice - and despite hundreds of complaints they don't seem interested in fixing it.There are a couple other minor annoyances in the app design but overall this is a solid and well-designed product that is effectively crippled by a simple problem they refuse to fix (but only for Apple users). So if you're an iPhone user, I strongly recommend doing your research before choosing a product. I hope this helps someone avoid the same mistake I made.
