This cover is advertised as a UV sunblock but it has lost color in just a couple weeks. It's gone from blue camo to purple. Unfortunately the return window has passed.I just looked at the actual tag and it says very clearly not to store in direct sunlight.

I owned this cover for 1 year. It covered our kayak outside, where it got sun about 5-6 hours a day in the summer. And I live where it gets pretty hot. The cover worked well for about 9-10 months. It faded, but I didn't care about that. But over time the material got very brittle and then, suddenly, it just fell apart. Anywhere I touched it, it just ripped. So I got one year out of it. That is okay, but my expectation was that any cover should last a bit longer.

The manufacturer tried to make these so that they could fit a large number of kayaks which is great except there is too much size variation possible. It’s probably better to order a cover that is a very close fit for your kayak length. This just had way too much extra material for my kayaks so it’s not good for anything on the smaller range.I hoped that I could get a cover that would fit and cinch it closed with the attached elastic however that doesn’t come close to gathering up the excess material.I’d recommend getting a cover that’s very close to the actual length of your kayak. I got these just to keep the sun off of them when we store them outside but we really couldn’t do much else with them and I doubt that they’ll stay on in the event of a strong wind.

It's a pretty good fit for my Pelican 10ft sit on top Kayak!I like the overall quality and fit, easy to install. It should be noted it states specifically on the label that this cover should only be used as a dust protector, not meant for heavy outside use in the sun.However, I plan on just doing that, but I will coat it with a good UV protectant to prevent it from fading and deteriorating over time. I normally use a cheap tarp, which usually goes bad 3 or so months in the sun.This cover is quite a bit thinner than a normal tarp, but it should do well if you apply UV protectant like Armoral, 303, etc. I'll give an update in a few months.However, for it's designed purpose, it should just fine, which is an indoor or shade dust cover for a 10ft Kayak.

My mistake... I have two 10ft kayaks and ordered (2) of these, one for each.Trust me... they are gigantic!No way are they sized for this size boat.Nothing at all like the picture... I mean NOT AT ALL!VERY disappointed.To late to return... MY BAD!Missed the return date by 4 days...Went to store my two 10.5 old town kayaks and discovered how stupid these things were.If the weather hadn't been so bad I would have done it sooner.Don't waste your money!

I don't like giving a negative review but feel I've been left no choice as I purchased this on June 6, 2019 and by February 2020 I had to throw it away. It lasted 8 months before it was basically disintegrating - there was a long tear along one side that formed on its own as well as shorter rips on the opposite side that also formed on their own. I wasn't expecting this cover to last years and years based on the price point, but I definitely thought it would last at least a full season.

This is the best quality kayak cover I have used so far.I bought 3 of these for each of my three kayaks. I have a Sundolphin Aruba S8, a Sundolphin Aruba 10, and the Sundolphin Journey 10 Sit-on Fishing kayak. These slip covers fit each of my kayaks very well, with some room to spare in my S8 (which is an 8ft boat, my other two are 10ft boats). There is a shiny side and a dull side, put the shiny side out to reflect the sun and protect your kayak even more. The material is thin and lightweight, but still very sturdy. I wouldn't go dragging it across the yard covered in sticks or something like that because yes, it will tear if it snags on something. It's made of a silken style fabric, so not damage proof. But it will keep the water out of your kayak as well when it rains if the kayak hangs outside. I'm happy with them! I bought cover from other company and compare with this , i found this one is more thick than i bought from another company. Will definitely buy again :)

Not durable at all. I used this to cover my kayak that was stored on the side of the house. There is a lot of sun on that side so the tarp took the brunt of it, which was the reason I bought it. It last 6 months before becoming super brittle and tearing easily. Took only a month to fade. Not going to buy again.
