There are two strategies when it comes to managing clothes moths: DETER or DESTROY. These pheromone traps come rather satisfyingly into the latter category. They send out a scent that smells like a lady moth who wants to mate, and prove irresistible to Mr Moth. He comes flying along and splat, he's stuck to the sticky paper. It's not kind but remember your cashmere and carry on. These are super-easy to use: simply peel off the protective paper from the front, then carefully holding the non-sticky edge peel the strip off the back so it sticks in the box. The box has small vents in it that allow access to the moth but cleverly prevent your clothes from sticking to it. The moth-box is detectable to moths within 70 cubic metres. That's one fairly generous room or two smaller rooms. It's recommended to have several moth traps throughout the property. Remember, these are only killing the male moths. Don't put them in a wardrobe where you have moth deterrents as this will confuse the poor things. Have a look at our full range of moth treatments. Use the Pistol spray to kill adult moths and their larvae, and once you have de-mothed the place use the moth deterrents to discourage them from coming back. These pheromone traps remain active for three months, after which you can purchase the sticky refill which come in packs of two. How to control moths in the home: 1/ Kill the male moths with the Mott Box pheromone trap 2/ Kill the male and female moths, larvae, and eggs using Pistol professional insect killer 3/ Destroy any potential eggs by having a really thorough clean and shake out. 4/ Deter moths from coming back by hanging Moth Protection in the wardrobe and spraying items with Anti Moth neem spray. 5/ Seal clean washed woollen clothes in moth proof containers. 6/ Monitor for the return of moths using the Mott Box pheromone trap. Keep this in a different room from the deterrents.

It works.
It did what I bought it for and caught a few nasty clothes moths. What more can you ask?

Didn’t work!
I had high hopes for this. It’s not that easy to put together as pulling off the sticky strip is quite tough and it’s incredibly sticky, but once that’s on, easy enough.Unfortunately it doesn’t work. It’s as if the moths mock me. They land on the wall nearby the trap, but a week in, not one actually in the trap.
