Asian Princess Costume

My daughter wore this for Halloween. it was the perfect costume for her and fir perfectly. After wearing it to 3 Halloween parties and trick-or-treating it did get a small tear in it, but for the price it was excellent and lasted through all we needed it for. Plus she looked so cute in it

I bought this for my daughter who was having an Ancient Culture Day at school, where she had to dress up from an Ancient Culture, and she chose China. The dress fit perfectly and she loved it, plus it was a big hit among the other kids at school. The only thing that we don't like is the hair piece that comes with it. It is a little cheap, and flimsy and doesn't fit or stay in her hair very well. Overall we love it, and it would be perfect for any girl who is looking for a Asian Costume.

The sizing is way off. My daughter is 6 and after reading the reviews I bought the small (package says petite on it). My daughter is literally swimming in it. I'm going to have some serious alterations done before she can wear it. I've always bought from another place which was kinda pricey for a one day Halloween adventure. I think it's worth extra to keep me away from a sewing machine! The head piece is just plain ugly. I have other plans for her head, thank goodness! I just can't believe it says 4-6 years! It looks more like 7-9 years. The Obi part is drooping front and back. Material is cheap and thin.

The key to limit tearing at the seams is to put it on from below rather than over the head. It might be good to reinforce the seams immediately even before wearing it if you have a sewing machine. You should size by the dimensions rather than the age range. My daughter is a thin 7 year old and the 4-6 age range fits her beautifully. It is important to get a trim fit in this costume for it to look optimal. My daughter loves to wear this costume

It was entirely too big for the child. The sizing is not accurate

I ordered the costume per the size guide. Its arrival was timely. It was very pretty but when my niece tried it on, she had great difficultly with the sleeves. They were way too tight!!! I had no time to return it or sew her up one from scratch, so I took it upon myself to alter the sleeves myself by re-purposing the trailing cuffs and adding them to the bottom of the sleeves to widen them. Not only did it improve the fit of the sleeves, but it made the dress look more historically accurate. I needed to patchwork the sleeves back together to accomplish this and used the the wide pink satin border/cuffs to dress up the end of the altered sleeves. They are now more fitted and no longer trailing but for a little more than an hour's work, barely breaking a sweat and about twelve bucks ... she's very happy to have a very cute costume to wear to a ball later this weekend.

So after reading reviews on this I was hesitant but my daughter wanted it.This is not high fashion but after 8 months in my daughters dress up collection it is still holding strong. It is adorable on.

I bought this dress for my 3 year old granddaughter to wear to the Shen Yun performance. She loved it! She got a lot of attention and compliments all evening. It made the evening even more magical.
