"I can only determine that the 5 star reviews are from people who work for the company. My wife bought these with the intent of using them with pizza stones. Thankfully her first use was a baking sheet at a mere 450 degrees. She might as well have not worn anything. They're not heat resistant in the slightest, and she received very painful burns on multiple fingers. They are useless, and pure unadulterated garbage." (My husband's remarks, these were an early Christmas gift but I ended up using them first.)*I will keep these as garden gloves, but honestly I have better and safer handling of baking pans with a wadded dish cloth. Please safety check before actually picking up and moving a hot dish.

Finally some gloves my mother can use that don't end up allowing her to be burned. These are great for used cast iron pots and pans and are easy to use. They aren't bulky and allow for a good grip. I literally held a hot pan for 5 straight minutes and my hand didn't even warm in the glove! 10/10 buying for friends.Update: They don't wear well. Got food on them and wiped them off. Now they don't protect from heat at all. You have 10 seconds max before you're burned and the gloves don't dissipate heat so you have to take them off immediately or they with continue to burn you.

My first attempt at using; was seasoning a cast iron skillet at 550 degrees. Tried to pull the skillet out of the oven with these gloves and received burns to two fingers and thumb immediately. This don't live up to their description and are dangerous. They should be pulled from the Amazon store front immediately.

These are great. No issues dealing with 975 f oven. Great quality will last a lifetime.

These do not protect your from heat. I’ve picked up a Dutch oven from a 400 degree oven and the heat went right through the gloves.

Great product and good quality

I hate to leave a bad review but I really thought these would stand up to 500° F. The descriptions says 932° F but I went to take my pizza stone out of the oven set at 500° F and I could feel the heat of the handles through these gloves. I was very disappointed. I ended up using hot pads while wearing the gloves. Of course this is safer than using just hot pads but I got this gloves in hopes of not needing anything else that could cause the stone to slip out of my hands or having a rag catch fire while dangling down into the bottom of the oven. Maybe the manufacturer can explain what they mean by heat resistant up to 932° F. I felt I had to write this review so that others didn't feel like they could use them at high temperatures without getting burned. Luckily I was skeptical and carefully touched the handles before just grabbing the stone and pulling it out of the oven. That could have been disastrous.

Works good for pulling pans from oven. However unable to hold onto handle long enough to carry pan from BBQ to kitchen (10ft). More insulation in palm and fingers would be nice.

Not enough insulation in gloves! Hands get hot way to fast. I used to be a welder.comfort
