It holds up with my 5 year old
I bought this for my 5 year old. He loves it! He doesn't complain about it hurting his mouth like he has done with others. After 3 games it has already begun to start coming apart, but like I said he is 5 and he chews.

My son usually goes through few each season, but this one has held its own.Downfall the strap will not stay connected to the piece when it’s attached to the helmet.Fun design!

Do Not Buy if your league requires a Lanyard
The ball at the end of the lanyard broke within 1 hour of using it. Returned and got another to see if it was a fluke. It wasn't the 2nd one did the same. If your league requires a Lanyard connecting it to the helmet do not buy this one. It will break immediately.
