**Second update to my review. So after working thru Amazon, then the seller and finally Swagtron themselves, I have been waiting 2 weeks for Swagtron to even look at my scooter and decide whether or not they are going to repair it or replace. Read below for additional details on how it broke, but you are looking at a painful process of getting this unit serviced if it goes beyond 30 days. It is not a quality unit, and no one is making it easy to get it fixed. Stay away! Find another electric scooter!****Update to my original review. Today is day 90 of owning this scooter. It has 39 miles on it and it stopped working today. Something is wrong with the front wheel drive accelerator as it is trying turn the wheel but just humming and jerking a bit. I contacted Amazon and the seller to either return it or replace it. I'll reserve judgement on final rating after the return process is complete.**So I have been using the Swagtron 2 for about two weeks now. What I can say about it is that for around $200 it is a great value. I usually can ride it in the 8 to 12 mph range and I’m 185 pounds. My kids at 80 pounds can ride it at 20 mph!I was hoping for a little more speed honestly but with a weight limit of 200 pounds and the fact that I am approaching that amount, I am not terribly disappointed. On slight inclines, I give the scooter a little jolt once in a while by giving it a little manual kick of the ground.Still too early to fully review the durability of the scooter, but I am noticing some unusual wear of the back tire. I’ll keep an eye on that and other quality issues. I recommend buying the three year warranty service plan at $20. Seems well worth the money.

This scooter was everything it advertised. I ride mine after work, although I haven't been logging miles, the scooter is doing very well. You normally are not able to go as fast as bikes but on most days you can keep up with bikes. I actually can go into a restaurant and fold it up and place it next to or under the table. I'm a 165 lb 5,6 foot tall and use this for sometimes walking around the neighborhood and to commute -- riding it at the metro parking lot where I have a long way between parking and the entrance. Overall, very happy with this purchase! Hoping it will last a while commuting 10 miles a week during work days.

The scooter arrived in a perfect condition, it was vere easy to assemble it. I have been using it now for 2 weeks to and from work and its sturdy, fast and fun. Battery lasts quite a bit even at top speed. Received the scooter in 3 days. Very happy with product and tge price I paid.

Over all I think it was a great value; if this is all that fits in your price range it's the best you are going to find. The ride was smooth, the folding mechanism was simple, and it was light enough to pick up and lug around. I took it onto the bus with me with little difficulty.But it just doesn't have enough power. I'm a bit over the weight limit and couldn't get the thing above 11mph, and it struggled even to go up very slight inclines. I found myself frequently needing to kick it to maintain speed. Less work than a full kick-scooter, but if you have the money spring for something a little nicer.

I'm 160lbs. I bought this so I play with my son when he gets on his elect. scooter. Even keeping this on mode 1 or 2, the battery runs out quick... i might get 30min on a full charge. Going up the drive which is less than 20degree... goes very slow. Box didn't come with instructions. While going through the setting (pressing buttons), there's a "DIS" which I assume to stand for distance, Well, it read 511!!! I bought this new. Thinking I got a returned item and it was shipped to me. Disappointing!Red rear light don't work because after looking to see if it is attached to anything... a big FAT no... there is nothing in it and no, it does not reflect light.

I bought this to go around with my son . because I can’t Exercise during my health conditions. Now I can go and have fun with my 11 years old . This is the best toy . We love is so much . May be after having is for a while I will buy 1 more for my niece to go in the morning to school

I ordered this SWAGGER scooter two days ago for my 12 year old son and he received it earlier today. He was so excited! He immediately plugged it in to charge it for the recommended 5 hours before riding for the first time. My family just went out to walk our dogs and my son drove it around the neighborhood. The scooter got up to 20 mph and the brakes work wonderfully. It's a hit!!! He LOVES it!!! We are going to buy two more.....one for myself and one for my 19 year old so we can all ride together LOL

I only gave this item 3 stars due to battery life. I weigh 185 lbs, conducted a night distance test (with headlight on in high gear) and experience the following:I could get about only 3 miles at night with the headlight on. I also experienced total shutdown at about 2 miles where the entire thing shut off and would not turn back on until I walked it about 2 city blocks. At the time of shut down it was displaying two (2) battery bars and per GPS I was at about 1.98 miles (via cell phone track).All that aside, if you are using this for short distances I believe you will be happy with this product. I have about 20 mile on it, and although its a bit bumpy it gets the job done for what I need it for. I do wish the battery life was a bit longer ( as advertised), as the charging time is very long, at about 5-6 hours. The build quality is solid and it looks great aside from the obnoxious advertisement. All in all for the price it’s not too bad considering high end scooters can range up to $800. When this blows up, hopefully not soon, I probably will invest in a higher end model simply for the battery life.Note: First shipment did arrived fully assembled with a damaged screen. It was returned without any issues and the second one arrived intact. I also noticed the LCD screen required mounting on the second shipment, indicating the first one was returned by someone else and shipped out to me.
