So initially I wasn’t going to purchase this because of the bad reviews. However I decided to take a chance and I’m glad I did. We just purchased a home and we needed some light remodeling done prior to our move in. The carpets had recently been replaced and were in good shape so we wanted to protect it. We ordered two rolls, we have a 2,000 sq. ft townhome. My fiancé and I covered the flooring and crossed our fingers. We had 5-6 different contractors coming in and out of the home over the course of 60 days (hauling out appliances, removing cabinets, toilets, etc.) When we returned to the home and looked at the covering you could tell it had been through hell and back. But when we removed the plastic sheathing the carpet was pristine! We were blown away.If you plan to order this, a few things you need to know:1. You MUST have a second person to use this product. You CANNOT do this alone, you will fail Person #1 needs to hold the roll nice and sturdy. Person #2 pulls the plastic from the roll.2. You CANNOT be in a rush, if you do it’s going to fold in on itself and you will need to create a “lip” to get it going again. Take your time!3. DO NOT USE THIS ON HARDWOOD FLOORING!!! The adhesive is very strong and will leave traces on the flooring.4. Lay the product in straight lines, do not try to curve or go around corners.Again don’t believe the negative reviews this product is top notch!

Putting this down on the step and then rolling it out for next step was extremely difficult for a woman over fifty!The sticky side would stick to the non sticky side of roll and you could not break its seal . My husband helped me and again had great difficulty in covering our stairs because the roll was stuck together . Too hard to use this product!

I felt there was definitely a learning curve when applying this film on a carpet. Read the instructions carefully and take your time. Have someone help you when you are first unrolling the film. Press film down every 8 inches or so. This will prevent wrinkles. When you reach the end and cut it with a sharp razor blade, make sure you fold back and create a lip. This will make unrolling it the next time much easier. If you don’t do this every time, you will have an extremely difficult time getting the role started again. I thought this carpet protector worked very well, and I would use it again, as it became easier and easier each time I used it. I did have an issue with the ends coming loose after a few days. What I did was cut off the raveled piece, and then press down the film. You are very likely to work up a sweat!!!

This product is so difficult to use. It’s a the thickness of saran wrap, but sticky like press and seal so difficult to use. I previously used a similar product that was a thicker and much higher quality. I would not buy this one again.

This worked very well for an indoor - outdoor party. It was super sticky and durable through the whole party. Didn't some loose to cause any safety issues like tripping. As long as you applied it slowly and with two people, it was easy to put down , even on steps so I would consider that good versatility. The clean up was fairly easy. Pulled up without leaving any residue.

Purchased to protect new carpeting when moving my girlfriend's mother into her new house. Others have commented on how difficult this was to install, it is a 2 to 3 person job. There's a couple of tricks to make it easier. First, with the help of another, pull out a solid 18 inches and place where you want to start and press down over as much as you can, once this is done, have the second person stand on the area that is already down. Second, find an old broomstick or something similar and cut it to 48-50 inches, run this through the center tube and use it as a handle, making pulling the film easier to control. Third, if you can, go a little longer than you want, as people walk on it, it will contract a little.The move in process for her took a little over a week, and over the week the film took heavy abuse. It was thick enough to hold up and never tore. The adhesive was adequate to keep it in place but was still easy to remove when it was time to clean it up, leaving no trace that it was there. The carpet that it was protecting still looking brand new. Overall, it was money very well spent and I would purchase again.

My wife's church ministry continually collects meals for a another regional ministry that distributes them. However, as a MLK Day of Service event, they gather volunteers, pre-cooked proteins, vegetables, and starches and assemble hundreds of those meals (this, 3 chef's freezers full). Needless to say, this IS a messy job and the carpet in our church hall could take a beating.Carpet Protection Film to the rescue. We bought a 36" x 200' roll giving us plenty of coverage. It was easy to install - gust get it started, walk on it, and roll it in front of you with your foot. It is heavy enough that it is very difficult to puncture while stretched out on the carpet. At then end of the day, it easily pulls right up and, with care, wraps up all your waste right inside.

Excellent for keeping floors and carpets clean during a move . The adhesive backing kept the film in place and did not move when walking over it ,but was easily removed with no residue .Good product at a reasonable price.

The good news is this product is sticky. The bad news is this product is hard to use (especially if trying to roll out alone) and sticks to itself creating a big amount of waste. Impossible to use in corners and very very hard to roll out. I quit trying to use it. Waste of money.
