Good; Better with a coat of butcher block stain
Was worried about the longevity of the wood so we gave it two coats of (food safe) butcher block stain and I'm pretty happy with it now. Have seen Red Bellied Woodpeckers, Hairy & Downy Woodpeckers, Blue Jays, Cardinals, Red Winged Blackbirds, Grackles, House Finches, house sparrows, and starlings at it. Seed/Suet when full last 12~36hrs depending - we've a moderate-to-heavy traffic in the backyard.

Really good Feeder
Great Little Feeder... I love it. I only have one constructive criticism: The wires coming out of the roof need some sort of locking mechanism. The squirrels have learned to pull that roof off and dig right into feed unabated. I acquired 2 binder clips from my office and clipped them to wires where they come out of the roof - it defeated the varmints. If you want to hook me up with an honorarium/Design fix, I will not turn it away...

Happy with the lifespan of the productโnew, improved design.
My first purchase of this feeder last about 4.5 years before one of the wires detached from the metal fastener. Considering the price, Iโm fairly happy with the roughly 9$/year I paid for it. I purchased another, and it appears that the design has since been improved with a more secure fastener.

Cute bird feeding station.
Love this bird feeder. Easy to fill, the birds love it. Well made and holds up well in rain and wind. Came well packaged, easy to assemble . Fits well on top of an old tree stump. Great buy.

Does NOT Hold 5 Lbs Seed!
very attractive feeder, but seed capacity is only about 2.5 lbs, if that. One of the reasons I bought it was because it said it held 5 lbs of seed. The cedar wood should hold up, but it will be interesting to see how the overall construction itself ages. made in China. Just sayin'.

tough! easy to clean! birds love it!
squirrels also love it but some cayenne pepper mixed with the seeds and on the suet keep them from pigging out. Previous feeders fell (literally) victim to big squirrel booty. This feeder is so sturdy and strong, I am not worried about durability. It is also easy to hose down and clean since the side panels come out! I like that both sides can hold suet as we have a lot of woodpeckers and suet loving birds in our area. super easy to set up and nothing that could be a danger to birds in site! Best feeder I've been able to find in the last 6 years

Brings all the birds to the yard!
This birdy buffet was a gift for my BIL. He likes it and frequently sends pictures of the flying moochers bellied up to recharge themselves before pooping on cars. It's made of nice but not heavy cedar and plastic windows. He was able to useva shepherds hook to hang it with no issues.

Great!
Smells like cedar .. you need a screw driver. The holes for the screws should be pre-tapped, it would make it way easier to build. I had to use a drill. All in all .. its a cute bird feeder and perfect for my birds!!! I would buy again.

Well built.
Nice feeder. Precisely built. Cedar is a little scarred in places. However, nicely designed and I really like it!

Well built!
I am very happy with my purchase as I was looking at various types of bird feeders and this one was the right type and the right price, and with a same day $10 off coupon, it offered good value. The feeder is very well built and today, I visited a brick and mortar store and there were similar ones at twice the price. It is very well made, the top roof lifts off so easily, easy to fill and clean. I have yet to see a bird eating at it, and quite possibly will have to add a extra bit of wood to allow larger birds a platform to perch as others have done.

Good build
Nice cedar bird feeder. Addes a dowel on each side for larger birds (but most of them now go on the platform feeder) was worried the "rope" to hang it wouldn't survive the squirrel so I added chains instead. So far so good, birds are happy, feeder is holding up well to the weather (its been outside since mid september, the roof keeps the snow out of the seeds)
