When my vacuum stopped working and I noticed the smell of burning rubber, I knew it was time for a new belt!Learning to take apart my upright vacuum to access the belt seemed like it would be tricky at first, but I noticed that the instructions were actually printed on the bottom of the vacuum! All it took was a Philips screwdriver and removing 4 screws and it was apart. Easy peasy.I immediately noticed the old belt inside that was split in two. On the side of the broken belt was printed “All Elite & Legacy” which is what pointed me to these new belts on Amazon. I was glad they are this cheap to replace, and also glad to get 3 of them in a pack so I have backups for if it happens again.When my new belts arrived a couple days later, I installed the new belt around the end of the roller on one side and around the motor pulley (metal pin looking thing) on the other end. I had to pull/stretch the belt just a bit because it was a snug fit. After getting the belt on and the roller back in place, I rotated the roller by hand a bit to make sure the belt was settled into the perfect location and mounted nice and straight.After closing the vacuum by reinstalling the 4 screws it was time for the moment of truth…drum roll…and it worked! I felt like a super hero! I’m so glad my trusty ole vacuum is back in good health.…and then I went back to cleaning the house. :)
