A year ago I ordered two of these for my dryer and installed one. Today I installed the other. When I look back through my history, this was my seventh heating element. I've ordered different brands. It doesn't matter, they all last about a year. $20 every year to keep my dryer running doesn't seem so bad. I just ordered two more.

This is the third heating element I’ve purchased, and it’s by far the best. The previous two were made with lower-quality parts and burned out quickly. This one has my dryer working like new—clothes dry in no time, unlike the others that took 2-3 times longer. Highly recommend!

It appears that my dryer’s heating element is breaking periodically. Watching a video on the web shows me how to fix it. This heating element is a direct replacement and fits perfectly. The quality is probably not near the original that came with the dryer. But, it is so cheap and easy to replace, I don’t mind buying it and doing the repair job every few years. This time my son decided to try it and he did a good job. I always like saving several hundred dollars at a time. The part was delivered to my house overnight, which is much faster than waiting for a repairman. The quality of the new appliances is horrible, so I always get a tremendous satisfaction when I can restore my old appliance back to its good condition.

UPDATE...So it lasted about 2 months... Installed 02/10/23 and dryer stopped working 04/06/23. As you can see from the photos, the coil failed and has broken apart in multiple pieces as shown in photos. Much worse than how the OEM one failed. I will reach out to the seller and see if I can get a replacement.I purchased this for a 3 year old Maytag Dryer, model #MEDB765FC0. The original had a break in the middle. I could have probably fixed it using a short flanged bolt, washer, and nut. I decided to just buy a new one since it was $20. You can get access from the front of the dryer by using a putty knife or spackle knife to push down the retaining clips. There are two clips are on top of the lower panel.This new one installed easily in place of the old one. Wiring fit perfectly and when I started the dryer it was hot, actually felt a little hoter than before so I'll be keeping an eye on it the first couple cycles.5 stars for now, 02/10/23 and I'll update accordingly.

If this element has a half life of the original element then i suspect the dryer will throw bearings or see a different catastrophy before i have to replace. There are plenty of insttuctional videos on how to install. It took me about 30 min because of the little space i had to work in. No need to be or call an electrician. If you can turn a socket and dont mind laying on the floor a bit you van do this! Take a picture or three if you are worried about putting new one in correctly. Just remember to shut off the breaker to the dryer. You are dealing with exceptionally high currents and volts. Once the breaker is off, and which should be clearly marked in your house breaker panel, you should have no fear of getting zapped. This dryer, and likely most, does not have any (notable) form of electric power storage, capacitance, or internal supply. While you do this, vacuum out as much lint as possible!!!
