The Ultimate 3 Slot OWB Leather Gun Belt Holster - Fits S&W Shield/Glock/Springfield XD

When I bought my Springfield XD Mod 2 in .45ACP a few years ago, finding a holster was a challenge. It was a new weapon, and there weren't many available at the time. I settled on a DeSantis belt-slide that was actually designed for a Glock. It was a little clunky at first, but with a few modifications, it worked.Well, the old DeSantis finally bit the dust, so it was time for a new holster. I narrowed it down to either the Relentless Tactical 3-slot OWB or the Urban Carry Lock Leather. Both were about the same price, and both had one thing that annoyed me. The RT model didn't cover the trigger guard completely, and the UC model had a locking tab that went inside the trigger guard. I finally decided that I didn't want anything in my trigger guard except my finger, so I picked the RT. With the grip safety on the XD, I felt a slightly-exposed trigger guard was acceptable.Although I'm still breaking it in as I write this, it was clear from the time I opened the box that this was a high-quality, well-made holster. The leather is about twice as thick as my old DeSantis, and has a nice, smooth finish, so it won't catch my shirt. It's stiff and substantial without being heavy or cumbersome.I need a holster to absolutely, positively do two things: Hold the weapon close to my body, and stay open after I draw the gun, so I can re-holster easily. The RT holster does both very well. In fact, in the forward-cant mode, it almost makes my XD completely disappear with only a t-shirt to hide it. The tab that keeps the weapon from contacting your skin is very comfortable, too.It seems like this holster will last a long, long time. Good job, RT.

I bought this holster for my Springfield S&W40 XD.Mod2. It is made of high quality leather, very similar to saddle leather, and very sturdy. It was a bit stiff when I took it out of the box; I put it in a plastic bag per the instructions and it has taken the shape of the pistol. It is a snug fit, not too tight, and easy to remove the gun from the holster. The holster does not completely cover the trigger guard but the trigger is concealed; a wee bit more of the trigger guard is visible than is shown in the photo. I prefer this to having the holster completely cover the trigger guard as I think if it did, it would would make it difficult to grip the butt and clumsy to remove the pistol from the holster. I have only had the holster for a few days but am confident it will wear well, either for open carry or for concealed carry beneath a jacket. I would recommend buying this holster for a Springfield XD.Mod 2, and it appears it would work as advertised for a Glock of similar size. It was shipped within a day and arrived on time via USPS, two days after ordering.

I have many holsters but this one over shadows them all. My XD fit straight out of the bag. No plastic bag or break-in period needed. Very comfortable and fits great. I'll be ordering another one for my Shield that also fits in it. Fast shipping.

A very decent quality holster. Will wear first time this morning.Have 2 issues. 1. Not designed just for my gun. Good snug fit, once I followed directions with plastic bag overnight. But no positive lock, fear pistol may fall out. Would be much happier with strap locking in place. BUT I KNEW THAT WHEN I BOUGHT IT.Second, se photo. Trigger guard hits leather, won't 100% seat. Small opening, possible small twig etc may sneak in between and pull trigger. For now will carry without round in chamber to be safer.Will update in a week after using more.

Holster seems of really good quality, My XDS Mod 2 did not fit it well. Does not go deep enough into the holster or cover the entire trigger. Think this is best suited for more full size hand guns.

I have been wearing this holster for 5 days now. The leather is very soft and conforms to your body quickly. The problems I have consist of the holster being too large for my Glock 43x. When I put my weapon into the holster the trigger guard area is much too large and the the opening is a bit big. I believe that this is because the holster can be used for a XD also but I'm not sure because I don't own one. I would buy one of these holsters if it was made for the 43x. I am returning it.

I wasted my money on a “we the people” holster that fell apart the third use so I had to order this leather one in hopes it worked.. not only did it work, looks great and is very comfortable!
