Lavazza lovers fear not!
We love Lavazza coffee and that's why we chose a Lavazza machine. We hadn't high hopes for these pods but thought we'd give them a try after reading the reviews. There is a large price difference between these and Lavazza pods and Lavazza still has the edge but it is a close run thing! These are good, very good and I think if Lavazza is your bag, you'll probably enjoy these too. Excellent.

A bit weak and not really very good.
I think that the quality of this product must vary considerably as the majority of reviewers have found these pods very good, even in some cases as good as Lavazza. I'm afraid I didn't. As soon as I used them for the first time and saw how quickly the water ran through the pod I suspected that they might be weak and indeed they were. It's fair to say that they make a perfectly adequate small cup of espresso, albeit not as good as Lavazza passionale, but if you want something longer they're not good. I found, for example, that one Lavazza Passionale pod will make a very nice 275cl mug of coffee, with two runs through the machine. The Barrista pod will fill the mug on one run only and the resulting coffee isn't really very nice, being thin and weak and the taste isn't really at all like Passionale. But as I say, so many people are pleased with them that I may have had an indifferent batch though its hard to see how that could happen. Anyway, as it's presently possible on this site to get genuine Lavazza pods at a similar price to these, I shall have no hesitation in sticking with the genuine article - though I wouldn't buy the Barrista ones again in any event.

Recommended capsules for A Modo Mio machines. Good coffee
These are very good A Modo Mio capsules and I hope they continue to be available on Amazon. As with most of the compatible capsules, you can't just leave them to run like the official Lavazza ones, but both the gold and red capsules make by far the best non-Lavazza coffee I've had yet from our machine, and are certainly better than a lot of the Lavazza branded ones, and at least as good as my favourites. Recommended.

Very, Very Bitter
Very disappointing considering all the 5 star reviews,Although these were not the lowest priced compatible Lavazza A Modo Mio pods available I was expecting a decent coffee. However from the fist visual impression of the coffee decanting into the cup the crema on the top was a dull brown and not a rich looking froth that Lavazza pods produce. But he real shocker was the very bitter taste of the coffee with an after taste that lingered for a long time and a rush to find the mints. Not trusting myself I did make another cup the next day but the result was the same. These went back to Amazon for a refund the following day. Conclusion is don't waste your money, stick with the real thing until the compatible pods come somewhere close to tasting similar to Lavazza.

Good quality/price
Running out of capsules and looking to try something new, so I start checking all diferent capsules and the first ones coming to my eyes are this ones. After checking the reviews, there are some people who either love them and people who hate them. I mean... fair... so I decided to look other products, finding out that every brand of capsules have good and bad reviews and everyone claiming that they are coffee connoisseur. At the end of the day coffee is a hot beverage and not everyone likes it or like the same intensity or bitter.I decided to purchase this coffee and I will next time I need to get more. I’ve found a balanced intensity, smooth and nice taste in the mouth. The capsules works properly in the machine “and I have to say that people needs to stop moaning, even lavazza capsules comes bulk or they don’t get attached to the hole.”Is a good coffee and 100% compatible. Will order again soon.

Very Good Value for Money
The two coffees complement each other extremely well. The smoothness of the Cremoso versus the bitterness of the Intensa allows you to choose what you want depending on your mood. The quality of the pack is fine however, even with a top of the range A Modo Mio machine the seal to the equipment is not as good as original Lavazza pods but the drips do go into the drip tray. Just need to empty it a little more often.Overall very good value for money

best coffee around
Having been in the trade for many years (bartender and Gastronome) in the past, in Italy, I must say that I was surprised by the quality and taste contained in these capsules. Very satisfied, thanks

Disappointing second batch
Disappointed with the second batch of the 'Intenso Napoletano' variety of Barista Italiano's coffee I've received. The first batch, as part of a mixed delivery of 50 of these with 50 of the other variety, were as good as if not marginally better than our preferred Lavazza blend 'Passionale' but these are nowhere near as good - indeed, they are hardly distinguishable from a cheaper blend I purchased from Amazon for half the price (on offer that is) characterised by exactly the same colour seals on the pods (the initial batch were more 'pinkier' than the orangey-red colour these are). Doubt I'll be buying any more of these - will probably stick to the genuine Lavazza ones.
