Kamtron are the worst cameras on the market, bar none. First, there is only one app you can use with them, and it is horrible. There is no way to multiview the live feed so, if you're thinking and of using more than one camera at once, forget about it. Not to mention that it is so full of bugs, disconnects the cameras and crashes all the time. Second, they cannot work on 5 GHz WiFi networks, which is a HUGE limitation if you're at a hotel or something and that's the only band available. These things are seriously not worth all the time and frustration. I wish I had spent twice as much for better quality. Not to mention the fact that the feed is unencrypted, and they're Chinese made so, completely vulnerable. I would give negative stars if possible. Just like every other Chinese vendor, half of their reviews on Amazon are just paid ads.

This was sent to me for free from the company to review. After having it for a few months I can say that I do enjoy the camera though when I first opened the box, I noticed that the frame of the camera seem to be more of a plastic base. As a pet camera, I have it located and secured where my pets cant knock it over because it looks like it can easily break. Though with the amount of the camera I dont believe that it is a bad buy at all. I find all their line of cameras to be of good quality in the video portion. I really enjoy their security ones I purchased 6 to 8 months ago.

Frustrating experience. I installed the app on my phone, couldn't get it to connect. Then the app wouldn't work at all. Overall I think I reinstalled it 5x, still never connected. Tried PC - nope, would add the camera & then take me back to the screen to add the camera again. I contacted the seller twice over 2 weeks & never got a response.Also, while plugged in, the camera got very hot to the touch, and that was only over the times I was messing with trying to get it connected. I wouldn't have it around babies or pets.Returning. I should get double back for the time I've invested in trying to get it to work!

It is fairly easy to set up. Scanning the barcode square on the device is a little more difficult because you have to gradually back up with your phone until it finally can focus on it. Do not hold your camera way close to it that move back quite a ways and then it will actually detect the scan.A little confusing in that it should state to put in your network password when it asks for it.

Pure junk. Picked up motion and recorded the first 3 months, and then just stopped recording motion. Also it continuously keeps falling off of my home network, while my other three camera do not. I've even tried using just this one camera on my wireless network and it still keeps getting dropped. I can not return this garbage since I am pass the 30 day point. Quite disappointed that it only lasted a few months.

I purchased this camera and it only took 2 days to come in. I had the software on my phone and had the camera up and running in about 20 min. So far it has worked fine. My router for internet is about 25 ft away and it works fine. After i had it set up and working my phone app asked me if i wanted to do a software update and i said yes. Big mistake. The camera lost internet access and i had to re set up the camera. If it asks you to do an update say NO... Overall this is a good product so far.

So a few things about this camera it's 25 bucks so it's not top of the line by any means1. Only works on a 2.4 WiFi network2. You have to allow the camera to access your internet, not completely sure but I've read some reviews since you enter in your internet anyone can see the views on your camera aka don't walk around the house naked3. Sound play back on the app is super scratchy and crackly you can't hear anything, and live talking is nearly impossible, huge lagging time4. Recording is possible through a microchip or iCloud subscription- I tried a chip and it slowed down the camera a lot. So I don’t record.But it's only 25 bucks! I solely use it so I can watch our pup Nova or watch the house when we're away!

I was looking for a camera to monitor my 3D printer progress. I ordered this Kamtron. I have two other WiFi cameras that use the MIPC app and wanted to view all three in same app on phone. It works great and at a nice price! Easy to set up. I was also able to click it from its mounting and attach directly to 3D Printer (see photo). The other photo shows the view of what I see printing at night. I no longer have to run up and down the stairs to the basement to monitor 3D printer progress. A great little camera and very flexible with the removable mounting.
