The Consulting Interview Bible Paperback – October 7, 2014

I've read several books on consulting interviews and this book has by far been the most practical book I've come across to help me prepare for consulting interviews. The things I found really helpful were how:1. The book really helped me see the whole consulting interview process from the interviewer's perspective. While practicing, I definitely felt like I could see into the interviewer's head to see what they were looking for.2. The simple frameworks the author recommended for solving cases were actually easy to memorize and apply during mock interviews, and the answers I came out with were a lot more coherent than before.3. The book thoroughly walked through a large number of cultural fit questions, case interview questions, and brain teasers. A friend of mine who received offers from 2 firms said that many of the questions he faced were literally the same questions as the ones in the book.As I said before, I've found this to be the most practical guide to consulting interviews there is. After going through this book, I feel much more ready for my consulting interviews. I'm still going to keep practicing my cases but yeah, I'm ready.

The formatting in the Kindle app makes the book almost unreadable. I don't have time to start over with another book, and they won't deliver a hard copy version to Australia, so I'm stuck with it.

Everything I've read here is valuable, and much of it was new to me. That's a rare thing for me to say about a book like this because I'm no "spring chicken" in the business/consulting world.The lessons are solid, practical and easy to understand. The layout of the information is in a way that makes it easy to absorb quickly but fully. I really liked the "what you should not do/say" examples as well. They were just as helpful, if not more, than the things you should say.Finally, the exercises help get things "working" in your head.The only suggestion I'd love to see for future editions is some stories from people who have gone through this... it would make things more personal and also easy to remember. I'd also like to see the impact/response that interviewers had to someone using this data. Because I can imagine that some interviewers wouldn't be impressed by someone using this book, and I'd like to know the authors thoughts about that.

The Consulting Interview Bible is a comprehensive, clearly thought out guide for one interested in breaking into the management consulting world. It is easy reading that packs a punch - full of great insight without the heavy technical jargon that one so often finds in books of this nature.Love the examples featured in this book, the self - study guides, and insider tips on what interviewers are REALLY looking for.Overall, highly recommended!

Management Consulted has done it again. The content they release is practical, insightful and inspiring. The tips in this book will help you put your best foot forward in interviews, knowing very keenly what to be intentional about doing and not doing. It's been a hit on the digital version, but it'll be great now to hold in my hands and make notes throughout. Can't wait for their other books to hit the printer.
