dreadhead tool kit
This is a great product and the only reason for the removal of a star is because the lock peppa did leak out of the container into the ziplock bag it was in. And for anyone looking to buy any products from dreadhead hq, please read the instructions thoroughly, it seems that many people that have problems with thier products is caused from misuse, but that's just my observation. The loose hair tool 2.0- I haven't used this tool much yet but it does work well for pulling in loose new growth into the root to help them knot.Small lose hair tool-I have used this tool more than the larger version, it works very well for pulling in larger amounts of loose hair into the body of your locks than you would want to use the sculpta for, and makes quick work of blunting tips in smaller dreads.Lock docta- if you can't follow directions don't bother with this tool. It can break hair and damage your dreads if used carelessly. That being said, if used correctly and cautiously then it can be a miracle worker to quickly stuff in loose hair to limit your fuzzies, and to remove kinks, zags, and loops. Just be careful with it.Lock sculpta- this tool works great for pulling in loose hairs all along the body of your locks, and is so easy to use and makes your dreads feel tighter, and the kit comes with two so you have a spare, only downside is one that i recieved had a crack in the handle where the needle is mounted and my fiance and i both have dreads so what sold us to buy the kit was so we could have our own sculpta so we didn't have to fight over it, but its only an aesthetic problem because the needle is still holding fine in the handle and the glue used to mount the needle has sealed the crack for the most part so i'm not too woried about it splitting any further.Head honcho- its really just a folding hair pick with metal teeth, but it works great for those random hard to reach itches, and i use it for a daily scalp "massage" by lightly rubbing the sides of the tips of the teeth all along my scalp and causes a pleasant tingle all over my scalp.Lock peppa- like i said earlier, the product did leak out into the bag it was in and thoroughly coated the entire inside of the bag and the bottle of peppa, but i was still able to salvage the product, i just rubbed off peppa on the bottle as i needed it for general maintenance work and while working on putting in new dreads i would rub the tips of the teeth of the comb i was using in the bag it came in and it helped speed up the process a good bit. The packaging issue could probably be solved by using a tamper evident seal that covered the holes of the lid, that way it would at least lower the amount of spilled contents if not completly stop it from leaking. Also a little goes a long way and i would never just sprinkle this onto my dreads, if you use it while palm rolling then sprinkle a small amount into your hand and rub your hands together before palm rolling, it gets rid of the excess oil on your hands and a small ammount will rub off into your dread, if you sprinkle it directly onto your head then it will just cause an itchy scalp, the product to get used up fast, and you'll look like your wearing a powdered wig. Using a lot wont make it work any better.Overall all the tools work as they should even though its basically a small crochet hook ( sculpta), and a couple different sized latched knitting needles(loose hair tools), they seem safer to use since they are crafted for dreadlocks and don't have the sharp edges that some regular hooks and needles have, so really it comes down to risking your dreads on a cheaper option, or pay for the added security of knowing the tool you have wont inherently hurt your locks with proper use.

Save your Dreads!!!
I'm glad I picked up the whole kit. As my dreads are natural and have just been maintaining them with my hands. The lock docta works Great!! It's good they sent a couple of spare tips as I broke the first tip gettin the hang of it. I had dreads that were splitting into two then rejoining again. The docta locked em together nice. The Afro pick feels good on the scalp and can be used at the base to tighten up the dread where it forms. I'll probably never use the peppa as I've always been able to roll little dread balls with loose hair. Even with my white straight hair. I've always pushed dread balls and tiny dreads through the base of an adjacent dread to clean em up. The large and small loose hair tools work way better as I can yank with a little force hair all the way into my dread. Better than crotchet hooks as the tips have a end that closes when drawing the hair in. All the instructions are on you tube but it's not rocket science. I would have liked some swag thrown in but it's okay. Package arrived intact, on time, and nothing leaked as I read about in another review. Keep on keepin on and Happy Knotting😺

Missing parts, customer neglect.
The rating of one star might be a bit inaccurate, since zero stars wasn’t an option it was just the closest thing. The order was missing pieces. I tried contacting the seller directly and recieved no reply. Also, the single sculpta was bent and the small loose hair tool didn’t work right( the latch was stuck and extremely hard to move back and forth). I am in the process of a return and have purchased tools from another vendor already.
