Vax Platinum Power Max Carpet Cleaner - ECB1SPV1

I have to say that the Vax Platinum is significantly better than I was expecting, it’s not as loud as expected and removes so much even unseen dirt that the bottom tank’s water is black. The value of this reconditioned unit is better than half price. I have pets so this is worth its weight in gold. Highly recommend and for me, a must have item!

Used this once, it just spewed out water and grey fluff, didn’t pick anything up. Realised it was broken. Sent back. Got a replacement. That was broken, sent back. Waiting for a refund.All sounds so simple but this has taken 2 months so far and I’m still no closer to getting a refund. Huge clunky piece of kit which is far too heavy to use and takes up so much room waiting weeks for it to be collected. Such a faff having to take it all apart and put it back together again. I couldn’t wait for it all to be gone and get all that space back again.

This is an extremely heavy machine, even more so when the tank is full. The first one I bought failed within a week and, although Curry's were happy to replace it with a lighter model, Vax wouldn't allow it. It doesn't dance across the floor leaving a perfect carpet behind and, after the rinsing process, the carpet takes some time to dry. The final result is acceptable but the effort required......

I have no problem with this machine, I have a very muddy dog who likes to clean herself on the carpet. The Vax gets rid of all the mud. Bought as a best buy from Which.

When it works, it's OK, not brilliant but OK. But good luck getting it to work for more than 5 minutes. There is a serious design flaw in the spinning brushbar which renders the product half as useful. The housing has snapped 3 times and Vax refuse to replace stating that it is a wear and tear item. It literally breaks every time we've used it. And worse still, now you can't find the replacement part anywhere. Vax customer service is also terrible!

Used 4 times from new, smoke started to come from the wheels and then there was the smell of rubber burning. I called VAX they offered to replace, but, I’ve lost confidence in the product. Overrated, heavy and cumbersome to use.

where do I start?Too heavy, couldn't get it to pick up dirty water, but the worst feature was having to unscrew the brushes every time I used it to get rid of carpet fluff. Sorry I ever bought it

It broke on its first use and customer service is atrocious..... Waste of money
