works great, fits perfect
I used a 3rd party charging pad that goes inside the original case before. White it worked it pulled the back cover out a bit which means the phone is not water proof any more. This an original Samsung back that has the proper seals and fits the S5 perfectly. All features like NFC work with it. It installs in 10 seconds. Take off the old back, put the new one on, done. The material look identical to the normal cover but it's slightly 'softer', it isn't as slippery thus it makes it feel more secure in your hands and won't slide off your lap.It adds about 1.5 to 2 mm to your phone, so it will be a little thicker. It doesn't add any significant weight to it. When I opened the box I was surprised how light it was. So no concerns about making the phone heavy. On the positive side, the back is just a little bit over the camera lens. With the original back, if you put your phone down, it rests on the camera lens and it will scratch. With this back, the lens is just slightly receded. When you put your phone down on a table the lens will not touch the surface! I consider this a big plus actually.Charging works reliable and reasonable fast. The specs say it's between 700-800 mA. That in theory is about 20-30% slower than using a cord. While it is a little slower, the fact that you can place it on the charge pad so quickly and easily, you will end up keeping your phone charged more than fiddling with the cord and the annoying charge port cover. The phone and the back doesn't get warm charging.I much prefer this over the third party coil that goes under the original back.

Great but thicker
I ordered this cover from another website and received it about a week ago. First, as most have said, the cover is about 3mm thicker than the stock cover. This is great because it makes the cover less flexible and the phone feels more solid. On the other hand, this is not great because it ensures that nearly all cases do not fit properly. With that said, I'm using this with a Belkin Grip Bumper and a Tylt Vu Qi Charging Pad. Works great and I never have to remove the charging port tab. The Belkin Grip Bumper fits excellent with the cover although it fits poorly with the stock cover. If you're looking for Qi charging and only need edge protection this is a great solution. Remember, the back cover can always be replaced just as a case can so it's only crucial to protect the chrome edges. If you need Otterbox type protection than this back cover isn't for you.Edit: Diztronic has confirmed that they're developing a case that fits with this charging cover. ETA is late July.

Important Info on Wireless Mods....
I've done some research on modifications to the Galaxy S5 phone in order to make it charge wirelessly. There are basically 2 ways to modify the S5 for wireless charging. You can either buy an aftermarket wireless charging card or the Samsung Galaxy S5 Wireless Charging Battery Cover. Each device has it's Pros and Cons. A benefit of the wireless charging card is that due to it's slim design, it still allows you to use your current phone case for protection. But the downside is that it may be difficult to connect the contacts from the charging card to the contacts of the phone battery during installation. Another downside is that due to the added width of the card; once you attach the battery cover, it creates a small bulge which compromises the water resistant integrety of your phone. Another downside is that you have to place your phone in a very specific position on the wireless charging pad in order for it to wirelessly charge... Next up, is the Samsung Wireless Charging Battery Cover, one of it's benefits is that it doesn't compromise your phone's water resistance since it has sealant built into it. You also don't have to worry about placing your phone in a specific position on your wireless charging pad to get a proper charge. The downside is, that due to the added thickness of the battery cover, you will not be able to use a your phone case because it increases the thickness of your phone. And there are very few companies that make a case that fits over the thicker battery cover. However there is a company called Diztronic that makes a case for the wireless cover, but their case offers minimal protection, but it's better than nothing. Out of the 2 ways to convert your phone to wireless charging, I prefer the Samsung Wireless Battery Cover, because it's an OEM Factory Warrantied Part unlike the wireless charging card. But using either device will suffice, it just comes down to which is more important to you; either having a case on your phone ( then pick the wireless card ) or the water resistant integrety of your phone ( then use the factory battery cover...On a side note...My wireless battery cover works fine and I haven't experienced any issues...I just wish there was a better case avaialble to protect my phone.
