The Affinity Bible - Book I: Step-by-Step Guidebook - Perfect for Beginners

This is an excellent book especialy if you are not familiar with Photoshop.The chapter on using layers and masks is clearly explained.Highly recommended for beginners and intermediate users.

I suppose the above statement says it all, except to add that the explanations of operations in Affinity Photo to perform functions is terse and completely inadequate. The important screen shots are pitiably small and fuzzy while being surrounded by vast oceans of blank white page. Lots of eyewash and minimal substance! And, then, there’s the $50 price tag. What nerve!

A needed (for me) ,helpful instruction manual for beginning my interest in tweaking my photos.

This is a great photo editing book.

What a waste of money. The author's name, Frank Walters, sounds pretty "English" but the text was obviously put together by someone whose first language is not English - full of spelling mistakes and grammar errors - "this is real time saver", "PNG is useful because preserves transparency". Page layouts are poor - the book could be 50% shorter if the text wrapped round images. What a waste of money! The online official Affinity tutorials are infinitely better, clearer, and free!

I don't find the book gives you the real basics like how to re-size picture for emailing, but on the whole it has taught me a bit

No link to photo's used. Email to author does NOT work, pictures and illustrations used are too small and no way to enlarge. DO NOT buy this book total waste of your time and money

This book is quite basic but just what I needed, new to affinity and affinity work book although good was a bit too advanced for starting off

I followed all the steps. Most worked as per the directions but not all the steps could be done (different version ??) Finally got to where I almost wanted to be and the tutorial ended - without telling me the final steps so I could actually use what I created.
