Works as described
This 50:1 (well, if you are going to be a detail person it's 51:1) gearboxed NEMA 17 works as advertised. My project needed more torque than speed, and this did the trick. Overall, I'm really quite pleased. That said, there are a couple of things about this unit.First, it is quite heavy, considerably more so than the motor alone. I was surprised (maybe I shouldn't have been, but I was.)Second, as another reader pointed out, mounting holes DO NOT follow standard NEMA 17 design. Look at the user guide/spec sheet prior to final design.I don't see points (1) or (2) as negatives.Third, the motor is hard wired rather than have a detachable harness. Minor negative.Fourth, there is a small amount of play/backlash, but the device was within spec. At this price, performance is more than satisfactory.Overall I am happy and would certainly buy again if I needed a gearboxed stepper.

NICE UNIT! Arrived on time and at a great price for a unit with a planetary gear box.
Appears to be able to do my job. Have not yet applied power or control to it. I was surprised to see that the planetary gear set was made with plastic gears however. Seems to me that a 51:1 gear reduction may be able to build a lot of torque and gears may bear the brunt of that. Metal gears would be better, I think! But I will see soon. It will be used to provide input to a NV40 100:1 worm gear reduction gear box ( I need a very slow rpm output for a radio telescope drive system). I think this will work out ok.

Excellent Stepper Motor with Gearbox
This motor performed as expected. It was used with the "Steperonlinee CNC Stepper Motor Driver and was easy to set up. We used it to drive feed rollers for feeding 1/8 inch diameter rubber into a tubing cutter. This made it possible to accurately control the length of the pieces of rubber being cut off.

Very good torque for a NEMA17, but plastic gears.
Very accurate, little missed steps even when using microstepping on the driver. overall very happy. The negative aspect however is that all the gears are made of plastic inside the gearbox which has me worried about durability

Slippage
The motor slips with no load. For me it did not meet my needs. I went to Gobilda bought a 9 to 1 geared down servo and it works great, plenty of torque and easier to control. Good luck
