Great cotton socks!
These cotton socks are great. They are thin but that is a plus as they don’t make your shoes tight but they also hold up. I know how ridiculous this will sound but apparently I have an allergy around my ankles to most socks. I had to find socks that were almost all cotton. These work great, no itching or allergies!

These are 100% cotton, so deliberately made larger to allow for shrinkage in hot water/hot dryer!
I've been buying these for years, and I've noticed that they no longer sell them in a specific size. I used to buy size 9, although I wear an 8.5 shoe. Two reasons for that are that first, I don't like tight shoes and have a C width at the ball of the foot, so by going up to 8.5 in slip on shoes such as Easy Spirit, the width will be comfortable. When it comes to the BB socks, however, it depends on whether I will be washing them in hot water or not. In our household, BTW, we generally wash clothes (including socks) in tap cold water, then dry on "permanent press" setting, which isn't all that hot. One must remember that many people who have foot/leg problems (I'm not one of them) want to allow for swelling. People in assisted living facilities often have someone else doing the laundry and the laundry is usually more interested in getting things clean than worrying about shrinkage, so they use hot water and fairly high heat settings on the dryer as well. These are cotton, and yes, they will shrink under those conditions. If you do your own laundry, you have a choice of whether you want a loose fit, or want to size down, or just try shrinking them the first time before wearing, and hope for a good fit. I have noticed that these socks, if imported from Turkey, tend to be larger than the same brand from certain other sources. Best advice is I can give for those new to this brand is to buy a set of three, and experiment with one pair at a time to see what works best for your situation. Good news is that they are soft and there are no pesky, rough seams to irritate sensitive skin. If you also buy Doc Ortho socks, which are designed for extra cushioning and have a loose weave, you may find as I did that putting BB socks on first and then pulling the looser socks over them will keep your feel a bit warmer without having to switch to merino wool or something along those lines. If you find that your winter socks are a bit scratchy, again, the BB socks will protect the most sensitive parts of your feet. (I do have sensitive skin, but I've had that problem since childhood. I saw Elvis Presley on the Ed Sullivan show, which was his first live performance on national TV, so we're really, really talking long, long ago.)

Poor circulation?
I have poor circulation in my feet and they are always cold. In hot weather they cause condensation from the extreme hot weather and the cold feet. In regular socks, my feet sweat and tend to smell. With these socks they do not because they are so breathable. Just enough coverage to keep my feet warm. I wear them 24/7.Could not give them a 5 rating because they tend to wear thin to holes in the heels.Poor circulation these are your go to’s!

Buyer beware..
Recent purchaseI suffer with pain and swelling due to non diabetic neuropathy resulting from spine injury on 9/11. I wear Buster Brown socks because they're 100% cotton and have some give without the elastic that after a few hours will become unbearable. I saw my Buster Brown socks for just 10$ for a 3 pk. I snapped them up pdq. Only after they were shipped did I notice they were coming from China. Truthfully, I didn't think they'd ever arrive as so many of my overseas orders, so I was surprised when they arrived in less than a month. However, these are NOT Buster Brown socks. They arrived in clear unmarked cellophane. Authentic Buster Brown socks will come in a labeled pkg. The socks I recieved are also very flimsy and not as well made as the Buster Brown brand. You get what you pay for. If you see them for less than 14$ really read and research before you buy them. I could have bought the socks I got, in a dollar store and got 20 pair of (cheaply made) socks and not waited a month. Buyer beware.Authentic Buster Brown socks..I've been searching for cotton socks that werent too tight and made without poly or elastic. After trying more than 2 dozen pair of socks, ALL duds, I got down to brass tacks and did an internet search and found Buster Brown 100% cotton socks. I used to go to the Buster Brown store as a kid for shoes and socks but had no idea they made socks for adults. Then I did a search on Amazon for them and yay!, they had them! I tried a 3 pack and as soon as I put them on I knew I'd found the holy grail of comfy cotton socks. Unlike the 2 doz plus previous pairs, they don't bind or bunch so tightly that I feel they'll cut off my circulation. Theyre also not too hot or thick in sneakers. They wash nicely, without shrinking down to a childs size. I bought 2 more 3 packs and will cycle out all the duds until my sock drawer is filled with Buster Browns. Highly recommended!

Perfect for People with Latex Allergies
I love these socks. I love the soft, pretty colors. I love how comfortable they are. I'm not really fond of how they look after I've been wearing them for a few hours - but that can't be helped! That's the nature of 100% cotton socks. Cotton doesn't stretch! Or rather, it might stretch out, but it doesn't return to the original size until washed. That's why OTHER companies put spandex (latex) in their sock cuffs - so they don't look all stretched out after wearing them. But those of us with latex allergies can't wear that stuff. So, if you want a sock that you're not allergic to, get used to socks that look a bit stretched out. You could try to buy a smaller size, but then they will be hard to get on, because COTTON DOESN'T STRETCH.I have knit my own socks, because it is so hard to find a good pair I can wear with my latex allergy. I knitted socks from wool, acrylic and cotton. The wool itches, too. The acrylic was uncomfortable. The cotton I made to fit exactly, so they are hard to put on because they don't stretch! Knitting socks is too time-consuming. I'll be buy my baggy socks from Buster Brown from now on!
