I bought this saw horse as the cheaper v-shaped ones were going to take too long to deliver and I was in a bit of a rush. Ideally I wouldn’t have spent so much on it. That said, it works really well. It was easy to put together with 4 optional rubber feet needing screwed in and then a couple wing nuts. The clamping section is adjustable to 3 different settings. It worked well for holding the logs I had but I think it is better suited to bigger logs. The ones I needed to cut were 10-20cm diameter. It did hold them ok but it felt like it would be sturdier with more weight in the logs. It also uses quite a bit of an overlap to hold the log so you can’t cut in to really small pieces once you get to the end. You will be left with a piece around a foot long depending on the size of the log. It does fold down for storage easily enough. Overall, if you’re cutting a lot of wood, it is very good. If you’re only cutting a little, one of the cheaper ones would probably do.Oh, and be careful of the spikes, they are very sharp. The trail of blood drips from my patio to my kitchen attests to that…

I love this bit of kit has simplified log cutting and handling wish I’d bought years ago. Well built strong and stable with easy adjustment for different size logs.

This is wicked. Easy to fold and unfold. Folds up nice a flat for storage. Holds all the sizes of logs you need it to. Nice and sturdy. Seems well made. Good value for the time it saves. Most important thing is that it allows you to chainsaw at a comfortable height.

This product is a very good one and very easy to set up and use. It is safe for the operator to use on his own, for which it it designed.However the build quality is not great. When in transport mode the holes do not line up correctly to insert the safety pin, without using something force it home, which caused me to chip the paint.After only using it for the second time there was some damage to the foot plug area (see photos), which was not operator error. The plastic plugs for blocking the holes are poor quality and come out to easily. I lost one at the first use, only to find it under a pile of logs I had just cut!!Overall this product is a great idea and very safe, but is let down by build quality and price. For £54.00, I expected far better build/material quality.

I was very pleased with his product. I have not done much cutting/splitting of logs in the past and was unsure of the best equipment to buy for cutting the wood with a chainsaw. I selected this after a bit of study and have been delighted with the choice. It was easy to set up and I soon got used to using it. I have cut logs from 4 to 28 cms in diameter with few problems. The jaws of the holder need to be adjusted for cutting logs of different sizes but the adjustments are easy and quick to perform.
