2002-2010 FORD EXPLORER 4 Button Remote Keyless Entry Key Fob with Quick and Easy Programming Instructions

This product works just as it says. I only wish that Chevy's remote was at such a reasonable price. This was very easy to setup and works great. I was able to set it up in 2 minutes on the first try. I ordered 2 of them because the used car dealer did not provide any remotes, but I figured I could live with that. I was wrong, with the fact that the electronic keys cost too much to get made, there was too much of a chance to get locked out of the car and be stuck. So I took a chance and purchased these remotes and have been very happy with the choice. I have passed on the word about this deal to all my family and friends. Be sure to get the word out about this great deal and stop the dealer from taking advantage of everyone and charging a arm and a leg for something that is so easy.

Ordered 2 of this item on a Friday morning after viewing a YouTube video of how to program the remote. Seemed easy enough, and after checking to make sure that it had the proper hardware for it (easy check, get into your car, hit the lock button and unlock button quickly, and turn your key quickly from off to run 8 times; you will hear the locks cycle if you have the hardware for the remote), I ordered these remotes, and by Monday, they had arrived. Programming it took all of two minutes. Range is excellent, and remotes work as advertised. They are small, but easy enough for someone with big hands to use. Great replacement product if your OEM remote breaks or if your vehicle did not come with remotes (such was my case).[...]This was the video I watched to learn how to program these remotes. Um, what's there to say? I bought it, I installed it, it works. Yah?

The key fob came with easy to follow instructions on how to program it, saving $100 if you were to go to the dealership. The only downside is the range of the remote, but that's nothing the key fob to the chin trick doesn't help. Overall good product and good value!

The instructions were not totally clear, on activating the fob. If you have multiple fobs you must activate each one concurrently. If you don’t the one you activate will work but the other won’t. So first insert key and switch to on and off quickly 8 times leaving the key at the on position then choose the new fob and push any button, the car should lock and unlock, then press any button on the original fob, the doors will lock and unlock, repeat if there are more fobs. Then turn key to off, the doors should lock and unlock and all fobs should work.

Easy to program for my 2009 Explorer.

It's not bad for the price, it gives me some issues but im sure cleaning off the contacts might fix that, overall for 7 bucks, its pretty good vs paying 50+ at most places for the same thing, it did very well for the first 30 days, but has since given me some issues such as not working at times and having pretty poor range, when i first got it it worked at about 20 - 50+ now works (when it does) at about 3 feet, im sure its just a refurbished remote but works with my 2002 ford explorer xls, ill try cleaning the contacts somehow and see if that fixes it, may be willing to spend a little more for longer return period next time if i can't fix this one.

I recently purchased a 2006 Ford Explorer Limited and it only came with 1 key and no fobs. It was a pain to unlock doors since the only key hole was the driver's side front door. I was hesitant about the programing and thought I might be out $8 for purchasing. I had the new key fob programmed in less than 15 seconds. Works great, locks, unlocks, panic button and the rear glass will unlock with the key.
