Fantastic for a daily driver
If you want bass that will get you noticed a block away, then these are not for you. If you want great bass when powered by a modest amplifier in your daily driver then these are great speakers at a very fair price. Don’t get me wrong, these will cause hearing damage if powered right, but just to the folks inside your vehicle.I’m very happy with a pair of these and a small amp with a factory Boston Acoustics stereo.

Excellent Speakers
I highly, highly recommend these speakers for purchase. I'd like to start off by saying that the construction of these subs is extremely good. The cone is kevlar reinforced paper which means that the likelihood of the paper tearing during bass hits is extremely low as Kevlar is used in bullet proof vests. The magnet and bottom portions of the speaker are situated in a metal basket and the positive/negative wires of the speaker are woven into the cone itself which reduces the likelihood of the wire overheating thus blowing the speaker. The main thing I really like about these subs is that they are CEA-2031 compliant, which means the subs can handle pretty much whatever you push through them, provided it is within specs. The subs also use anodized voice coils which allows heat buildup in the sub to dissipate, and these subs can dissipate heat up to 100 degrees (not talking about ambient heat, but heat temps for the sub itself.) I find that these subs are best when used with an 800 watt 2-channel amplifier at 400 watts per channel which is what I have in my car. As with any speaker or sub-woofer, take care of the sub and it will take care of you. As greatly constructed as these speakers are, if you set your gain up too high, bass level too high, or anything else beyond what these subs can handle and they will blow regardless. That goes for any speaker or sub regardless of its construction so just be sure to stay within what this sub-woofer can handle and they will last a long long time. Hope you find this review helpful. Thanks!!

Amazing
Best Subwoofers in the world. I used a BOSS AUDIO R2000M Riot 2000-Watt Monoblock Amplifier to power 2 of the subs. I doubt the amplifier is really 2000 Watt, but they are amazing. I can rattle my car and make my heart pound. But, I don't really know how loud they can go. I put on ear protection and turn it up as loud as I can handle, and they still come out clean and powerful. I was very impressed. It is worth the cost. I put two of these in the back of my 1992 jeep wrangler. I used a 2 cable locks and screws to secure them and the amps so no one can steal them when the top is off.

great sub.
I got one and put it in a scosche box it sounds great. I find it hits the hardiest to rock and that type of music. It looks great the sound quality is awesome and its not to expensive. Just dont expect to turn heads. I give it a 5. PS the scosche box i got had a lot of air leaks so keep that in mind.

Works amazing
I have 2 in truck wedge ported boxes and I have a single cab truck and they sound amazing in it I don’t even have them at half power yet and they shake my cab. Took me weeks to figure out if they’d work with the space I had and couldn’t find anyone doing it so only leaving a review as a way of telling someone trying to do the same it’s worth it and works

only the low bass sounds really good but other than that it sounded like crap and ...
Try to put in my truck style box and it wouldn't fit cause of the rubber on the magnet, took it off and it fit. My boxes are .7sft sealed, got a 500 rms rf amp pushing the two tens, now with all the adjustments to my amp and HU, only the low bass sounds really good but other than that it sounded like crap and wasn't very loud. It might be the box or the subs are under rated and I don't have enough watts. So I put my r1's back in, they freakin pound. Was disappointed, but I still got them and will try them on my next project. Changed my stars to 4. Made a sealed box, .77 per chamber, got about 4 inches between magnetic and box , and I must say not bad at all. Running 500 watts to each sub and they are punchy. Went for sq on this setup I got going and so far it hasn't really struggled hitting different notes but they love rap and dubstep type bass songs. If you smother them with a lot of stuff in your trunk,or have a standard cab truck and they're up against your back seat they won't sound good at all.

Powerful subs, good price
I have two of these wired at 2 Ohms to a Prime 500 watt amp. They are in a box under the back seat of my extended cab 1997 Ram and they rattle the mirrors. Clean and loud, and have yet to be broken in. My first system and I am in love with RF!UPDATE: since my last review, I have built a single ported box in place of my center console. Running about 1.4 cubic ft ported with a 534 rms amp. My amp is turned down to half, and i can still get this sub to rattle my rearview with the lower tones

Buy it for sure...AWESOME
I have this in a folded horn/bass reflex design and let me tell you, this sucker is fantastic. Im all about sound quality, and i experimented with this in that particular design, and after two builds, i have it tuned to perfection. The enclosure is huge, but reaches down to 26 hertz and it seems like its barely moving. If you have the room for it, this sub in a horn is magic. All youll need to do is to nail stuff down in your house.
