TEC Accessories PicoPen - Stainless Steel Mini-Ballpoint Pen with Magnetized Keychain Holder

Keeps a pen handy and the magnetic closure is strong enough that I don't have to worry about losing the pen no matter how I toss my keys around.I wanted to use a Fisher pressurized refill for this pen. Took a few tries to get right refill and it was a tight fit but once in it works fine. With the Fisher refill no matter the weather or temperature it will write.

This is a high quality, very small, very useful pen. The combination of clip and magnetic closure make this pen a piece of gear you’ll always have with you.

I loved this pen to start out with. I clipped it to a mini clip board where I put my grocery shopping list, coupons, etc. But the pen kept popping off on it's own. The first few times I found it easily, as it happened right in front of me. But this last time I have no idea when or where it happened. So I now have an expensive cap that is useless.

I really liked this pen but only had it a week before I lost it, so I didn't get much of a chance to use it. It was very convenient, light-weight, and wrote well, but the magnet didn't hold up. It seemed to be a fairly strong magnet, but I guess it wasn't strong enough. Part of the reason for the lower rating (beside losing it) is the difficulty to contact TEC accessories. I'd love to speak with someone in customer support, but it's difficult to find any way to contact them. I actually wanted to contact them before I wrote this, but was unable to find a way to do that. I hope this review helps, so I can get in touch with them and discuss a possible way to replace the pen. If they are able to help, I will modify this review.

Smaller than it looks in the picture but nice quality and magnetic close, not easily detached, You pretty much have to deliberately pull the pen free from the cover. I would unlikely be detached with your you being aware. It writes good enough to do the job, I like it, just preferred it to be a little bigger to be more comfortable for writing.

I loved this pen (yes, past tense) because although the magnet worked pretty good, unfortunately not good enough!I went to use it one time and it was gone, I guess the magnet let go. Kind of expensive to keep replacing so it lasted about 1 month before it disappeared, big bummer.

The ink cartridge itself writes smoothly, but feels small and will probably run out fast. The description is incorrect and it is NOT compatible with standard Fisher PR4 refills-- the body is far too short-- but rather they seem to mean a Fisher SU4F refill. I haven't tried one to confirm. The tail cap and front cap for holding in the cartridge are both completely smooth and have no knurling at all, so my fingers just slide around them and they are a real chore to unscrew.The small diameter and light weight are great, but the length is a bit too short to write with comfortably with the back of the pen resting on the side of your palm. I would have preferred if this were just a bit longer so that it took a more standard size cartridge and rested better in the hand.The body shows scratches easily and is covered in small scratches from jangling on my keychain even after only a few weeks of total carry time. The magnetic cap has held so far, but it spins and rocks noticeably inside the cap (also leaving a ring of scratches on the front of the pen), so I don't know if I totally trust it to remain secure long term. Overall, I'm not super impressed with this and I think there are better options.

Absolutely perfect pocket pen, in a pinch. You wouldn't want to write with this little beauty for long periods of time, unless you've got very small hands (I've tried). But in a pinch, it does a fantastic job. It's an indispensable addition to any keychain. "Waiter, do you happen to have a pen? We've got our check but we just need something to sign it with." (Only to wait for what feels like forever) - Me before my new PicoPen.
