Looks and works well. I love it.
First, this scale looks very nice and I'm very impressed with the overall quality.Second, it does seem to work well. I had a different Taylor model for 2 years (that this guy is now replacing) and it worked ok most of the time. The problem with the last model was it was sloped up with separate "paths" for each foot. Which meant I put more weight on the back two "feet" of the scale than the front two feet. If I got back on the scale and shifted my weight just a bit more to the front two feet, I'd get a slightly different reading. I learned to stand the same way on that scale to minimize the problem. I've fixed it completely now that I've purchased this new scale.Note: Like most (or maybe all) consumer grade scales, it cheats a bit in the multiple attempts department. Meaning if it weighs you within a half pound or so of the first weigh-in, it gives you the same reading. I tested this by getting a 1/2 full cup of water and getting back on the scale, same reading. Filled the cup up just a bit more and got +.8 pounds. Dumped a bit of water out and the weight didn't change. Dumped a bit more, same weight. Dumped a bit more, -.6 pounds. I don't think that is a reason to mark the scale down b/c I believe all scales do that with multiple attempts in a short period of time. Tricky scale people.Update: I just tried it again (about 10 min departed from my previous scale tests) with only the empty glass and I got a reading of +.2 from my real weight. So it seems very accurate when you put a bit of time between weigh-ins.Best scale I've owned and the last one cost me over $40. Nice when you can upgrade and spend less!!

Bathroom scale.
Love it. I always look forward to pulling it out of the corner of the room and putting it in the middle of the bathroom, jumping on at once, and then getting off in there, i'm bumping it a little bit, and then trying it again, and that's what your weight is

Accurate and good looking
Our previous black plastic taylor scale suffered an attack from our 15 month old. There were some loud bangs and the scale had given its last reading.Anyway, we had a glass one before the plastic one that we liked a lot so I figured I'd look for one of those again. We've been using this one for a few months and it's been good.Good:- Fast readings.- Consistent readings (when I check somewhat back to back).- Easy to read numbers (our previous plastic one had taller and thinner letters and was harder to read).Sort of cons:- I wish the background lit up (our previous had a blue backlight and it did make it even easier to read).- The circular base points are a bit far from the outside edges (too far inward). Sometimes when I try to stand on it (and 150% of the time when our kids stand on it) and you stand too close the edge, the other end of the scale seesaws up and then it falls back down to the tile sort of violently. I'm always worried we're going to break it. I have to be very precise when I stand on the circles so I don't do that.Anyway, we're still happy with the look and functionality of the scale and would make the same purchase again given the same options at the time.

It seems to be accurate
Seems to work pretty well. It's like a camera and adds 10 pounds. Hahaha

Good and Simple
I have an account with Consumer Reports and checked into scales before buying this. I originally intended to buy a body fat/water percentage scale, but I found that those are extremely inaccurate, to the point of being useless, so I opted for a basic scale. I have a lot of respect for Consumer Reports and this scale got #1 of all the scales they tested. It has high accuracy and consistency. My dad owns a gym here in Belfast, Maine and I weighed myself on his professional scales and then on this one (on a carpeted floor) and it was consistent within about 0.3 lbs, so very accurate. It looks really nice and the price has been reduced (Consumer Reports said it cost $35 at the time of their review). You just tap it to turn it on. I also found it's pretty consistent with respect to where you're standing on the scale and how you're leaning. My mom had an older digital scale that would give drastically different readouts based on how you were standing on the scale, but I've played around with this one and it doesn't make much difference whether I'm on the edge or right in the center, whether I'm leaning back or forward, it's consistent.

inaccurate and hard to use
I bought this scale to replace my old one of the same brand. I used the old one for MANY years and loved it. This one, not so much. I have to stomp on it, often multiple times, with both feet to get it to turn on. The weight fluctuates greatly and I don't trust the accuracy. It's incredibly frustrating not getting a good, trust worthy reading when I'm working incredibly hard to lose weight and can't accurately track my progress.
