Work good and reasonably priced

I purchased this product for a 1990 Ford F350 and the part is correct for size and application but the motor when tested was barely functional, intermittent and weak. I purchased the same product by DORMAN at twice the cost and it worked as expected, night and day difference.

I put in in my 1989 F150 yeseterday and it matches up. No instructions, but pretty obvious after watching a YouTube video. One problem: it won't reliably unlock with the engine off. I've sprayed WD40 and garage door oil on the linkage (which had become totally stuck from age, and probably is why the original one broke), but still not unlocking unless the engine is running (and battery voltage is higher). Is it under-powered, or is my linkage still too stiff, or...?

Fits 1990 ford ranger. Install was tricky. I thought these were the issues, but they really weren't. Still good to have new ones in. This fits a multitude of vehicles, so if you read somewhere it should fit, then it probably does. My issues was from a buildup of gunk in the lock mechanism, of which this thing didn't have enough force to overcome. I would clean that first, WD-40 it, then buy a new one of these.

Just like the heading says - weak! It installed easy enough. I plugged it in and hit my lock/unlock, and the actuator was too weak to even move the knob up or down. I guess it's hit or miss with these things, as there are some positive reviews. Luckily for me, I found an old actuator that I forgot I had on the shelf; been sitting on the shelf for 20yrs (pulled from a junkyard car 20yrs ago), and after whacking it a couple of times, it 'woke up' and worked 100x better than this "new" one.
