Hercules LS700B Gear Up Lighting Stand

Works well. Poorly protected and damaged on arrival

the stands work great . my crank handle was bent by fed ex on one stand upon delivery, i called customer service [outside Nashville Tn.] spoke to a live person and he sent me a replacement handle /crank............ i own other Hercules products and they are all built well !

No damage to stands on unpacking . A bit shaky with 60 lbs of light fixtures on a bar ( rated for 100 lbs ) expected the framework to be more heavy duty but for the price you cannot go wrongThe pin on the safety clip broke ( cold weld ) after using it the first time Hard to track down the seller for replacement part

We purchased a few of these so far one is faulty and we are having a difficult time connecting with Herceles customer support. (I hate contacting support and leaving messages.) I think they are great stands however we should not have difficulty getting support. We had a couple of them damaged during deliveries and had to return them for replacement. Currently we have a T-Bar that gets jammed the we put it on the stand and it requires several people to pull it apart after an event. The other ones work as they should. I've been trying to contact support to get a replacement T-Bar, these are not cheap. I will let you all know how customer support does as soon as I hear form them and how long it takes to get a return call and replacement parts. We purchased them because we need them to events. Good support is a necessity.

I like the construction of the tripod. It has worked out great for me. Like many of the other reviewers, the tripod came with dents in legs. I think the issue is the ship the top crossbar with the bolts already in place to hang lights. Although the cross bar is packaged in its own cardboard packaging inside the box with the tripod the heavy weight of the tripod pushes the bolts through the packaging and into the legs of the tripod.This is a heavy device but I bought it for its strength and I think it is well made.

This product is very sturdy and well put together. Not to mention extremely simple to put together out of the box. I could probably train a monkey to use this thing right out of the box and the monkey would not be able to break it.

Does the job.. but need to package better.. had to send it back once because it was dented up. They did good replacing but, got second one and had few dents but, just rolled with it. 😬

Received 2 dented and afterwards saw that it's common and just plan to replace the leg with some conduit since it's stronger but heavier! Less sand bags needed! lol
