Very Impressed with the sound!
I'm very impressed with the sound! The 3rd valve at first wouldn't go up, so I removed it & put it back in & it slowly started responding after pressing it a bunch of times; works fine now.I'm so glad I was able to get it after having to cancel my original order with Tocaviva who never confirmed that they got my order & they also didn't respond to my emails requesting cancellation.

Low quality
I have played the tromba trumpets and they played great so I thought it would be fun to get the cornet but the intonation was not good at all. The first valve slide broke off. The overall quality of the cornet is very low compared the trumpets.

Love it!
Plays incredibly well, use it for practice and performance. People I tell about it shake their head and then hear it and are blown away. Love it!!

ok for what it is. plastic
Decent sound. Intonation erratic. Main tuning slide will need some work. Included mouthpiece is junk. Overall good beginner or novelty horn.

The valve action is good. With a metal cornet mouthpiece (not the included ...
As a recreational player, I got this as a travel practice instrument to throw into a carry on roller wrapped in some clothing when I am traveling. For that purpose, and along with a Yamaha silent brass mute, it worked quite well. Aside from a perplexed TSA agent trying to figure what the thing was going through the x-ray machine, there were no issues, and it survived the trip without any damage. The valve action is good. With a metal cornet mouthpiece (not the included plastic one) the feel and sound is acceptable and I could easily play in the same register as I do with my professional grade horn. There is no projection or sizzle of any kind, so I would not use it for a performance. The pitch is not in tune if playing on center, but once used to it, I could make it work. Build quality was decent overall, but one of the finger buttons is not level with the others and is slightly slanted to one side, though not by enough to deal with the hassle of exchanging it for hope of a better one. The included stand is a little flimsy, but functional. The case is basically styrofoam with a plastic shell, but can't argue with the protection it offers despite the cheap look. A basic cleaning kit and spare springs are in the box. I wish they would have included the recommended ultra-pure valve oil in the box instead of the cleaning kit.

Horn sounds "leaky" like something is not sealed right.
The horn sounds "leaky" right out of the box. I bought it to use with my 6th grade son who is starting beginning band. I purchased him a used Yamaha YCR 2310 for about $20 more. I tried playing both using the same mouthpiece and the Tromba just sounds terrible. I quickly switch my mouthpiece to the Yamaha, and it sounds great. It almost sounds like air is leaking out of someplace on the horn. I was so excited to get this and now I'm so disappointed. I'd like to think it's a defective one, but I'd rather not chance it. I'll be sending this horn back and finding another good deal on eBay like I did with my son's horn.

Severe Pitch Problems
I am a junior high music teacher. I have played trumpet/cornet for 15+ years.I love the idea of plastic brass instruments. The idea of affordable durable brass instruments is very appealing to me. I have a Tromba plastic trombone that I've been very pleased with. I use it in class as my demo instrument. However, this cornet was very disappointing. The instrument looks great! It's very light, and easy to hold. All slides and valves move easily. The valves are not as smooth as I'm used to, but they never once jammed. The cornet comes with a great cleaning kit, and stand. The included plastic mouthpiece is nearly useless. I quickly replaced it with a standard metal cornet mouthpiece (Conn 4 specifically). With a standard mouthpiece this cornet has reasonably good tone, though it's certainly not as full as a brass cornet. The real issue with this instrument is pitch. The G partial is horribly flat, a good quarter tone low. I could almost lip it up to pitch, but it was quite a struggle. All the partials from E up were uncharacteristically sharp. This makes the instrument incredibly frustrating to play if you have any sense of pitch, and nearly useless in any ensemble situation.I contacted the seller hoping that perhaps this was a fluke--maybe the cornet I received was a lemon. I was assured "..all our products stock are designed and produced in consistence of quality, sound performance. if the one you received does not meet your performance level, the other stocks will be the same sounds effects."While I appreciate the apparent focus on consistency, I would strongly encourage making a line of cornets that play anywhere near in tune.

Not put together as demostrated.
The upper pads on the valves or to big and won't fit into the space that they or suppose to fit in. therefore this causes the valves not to seat properly when press them and causes each note except for open fingerings to be out of tune! I would very much like to return this horn for a new one. It is useless to me playing the way it does. I also wonder if this was another pass on from another customer. Because, I did not get the two mouthpieces as as advertised and package appeared to have opened and used.
