I have a small flock of chickens and a partner with a wheat allergy. It was impossible to find wheat free food for them. I was about to make my own mix which would have been a pain. Thankfully I found this! All my chickens layed a good sized egg everyday and the yolks were a light orange, not the pale yellow of a lot of grocery store eggs. The bag was well sealed and never noticed any issues with the feed seeming old. Shipping was quick. Definitely a good option for wheat free chicken food! I assume a good balanced diet by how well my girls layed eggs this year

Our chickens absolutely love this feed and are thriving on it. Not to mention it is a huge help for me as a Celiac, I can feed the chickens and not worry about cross contamination. Please keep making it, New Country Organics is the only company offering a wheat/barley/rye free chicken food!

I have Celiac disease and the dust from my chicken food was making me sick. I now only order the NCO wheat-free blend...no more problems!

This is the only feed our chickens eat. Compared to other feeds the ingredients in this one align with our values with the exception that they do add seed oil which is a major bummer. It does seem almost impossible to find a feed without so I do like that it’s not one of the main ingredients. I do recommend soaking the feed to reduce waste and increase the amount of feed you are getting for the cost.

The media could not be loaded. I was very disappointed in this product. I gave the company two opportunities to provide what the image shows, but you can see from my picture (first image), what you get does not look like the ad picture (second image). The product is very powdery (see video) and does not include the whole grains pictured. It's very dusty. Those of you from the country will remember the ground feed made on the farm, called chop. That's what this is. Not what I expected, based on the image and cost. Very unhappy.

I have tried several different products over the years offering high quality, natural ingredients. This grain is the best. My hens love it and there is so little waste. Although it is a little pricey, I think it is worth the extra cost.

I bought this as an alternative to Kalmbach Henhouse Reserve bc it was out of stock in my area. This did not meet my expectations. About 1/4 of the bag was just a thick powder (from the grains maybe?) and it only lasted half as long as my Kalmbach does. The chickens liked it though.
