Excellent. Well made. See note about money pouch fit.
Bought for office for after hour payments and bulk cash drops. Great purchase! Very study and secure. Mounted in a solid 2.5" wood door. Inside box sturdy with good lock and large enough for clasp envelopes. Only issue was someone who dropped in a loose check and did not make sure the check made it past the teeth in ' throat' mouth. The tray doesn't slope down enough for something that light to drop, so check was sitting inside mouth on the teeth. If the person had closed and opened mouth to verify, they could have flicked it all the way in. NOTE: Those zippered money pouches do NOT fit. Instead, I bought the self seal no tamper security 'baggies' that can be folded and wrapped around the cash. Perfect! Slides right in and down.

Works well for my use, very sturdy
I installed this drop box to replace my old mail slot and it looks great! The drop box required a bigger opening on the door, so I had to use a jigsaw to make it bigger. Also, my house accents are oil bronze color, so I painted the drop box using a Rustoleoum metal paint (between paint and dry, it was about 1 hour). The results are really nice (I also painted the door, so it was a couple of hours project). The only cons I see are:- the screws that come to attach the drop box to the door might be too long, especially since most doors have designs on them, so from one side to the other could be about 1 in. Be careful not to go through the door :)!- as others mentioned, depending on how you insert the letters, some might get stuck, this might frustrate the mail man/woman.

Great Product
I've installed a few of these through the metal doors of automotive service centers. They are easy to install. Just be sure to cut the hole large enough to get the frames in place and get it leveled. I use self-tapping screws - they make the job easy. Caulk the top and sides.

Many Letter Jamming Issues
If someone inserts a normal-sized #10 envelope vertically, it usually gets stuck in the back of the box in such a way that the next person could come along and pull the previous person's letter back out. If someone puts in a normal-sized envelope horizontally, it will fall nicely to the bottom when the door is shut, UNLESS the previous person had put the letter in the wrong way (vertical) and the prior envelope was already stuck. In that case both letters will be stuck in reach of the door, and all subsequent letters may also remain jammed up until someone pushes or pulls the group of letters down into the secure area at the bottom. It probably goes without saying that this box cannot handle envelopes larger than a standard #10 envelope (4-1/8 x 9-1/2 inch). A 9 x 12 inch envelope probably cannot be dropped off securely. If you are a landlord expecting a bunch of check envelopes coming in at once around the 1st of each month, then you'll need to check the box frequently, since it can fill up and/or jam VERY easily. Since we've already installed this dropbox and it would be difficult to return, we may decide to switch from No. 10 envelopes to the smaller No. 6.75 for our monthly rent check return envelopes in order to accommodate the poor design of this small dropbox. The box is sturdy and nicely painted. The lock seems to works well. However, the jamming is a real show-stopper.

about as good as it gets for this type of dropbox!
This is a great dropbox for my business. I had a thicker door than normal, so I had to make some slight modifications. I was still able to make it fully functional, fit properly, and look nice. I did a good amount of research on the other drop boxes that were available on the Internet. This one seemed like the best one for the money even if it had cost more money it would probably still be worth it compared to the others. The only drawback from a Dropbox like this, is that larger envelopes don’t quite fit right. I’m sure that’s to be expected with any dropbox of this size. The only other option would be to purchase a external dropbox which is not what I was looking for.Overall it’s an awesome product!
