Works Great!
Lightweight,well-made, aluminum chainring. I bought it to replace the heavier steel inner chainring on a Shimano Sora 3550 crank with 110 BCD. I would definitely buy it again. Seller was Wheel & Sprocket. Excellent service from them!

Very Good Quality, USA Made Product
It's not every day that you see an American Made product. I was pleasantly surprised at this chainring and couldn't be happier. This replaced a 30T chainring on my Recumbent Trike (Catrike 700), which came with a 50/39/30 triple FSA gossamer setup. Coupled with a 12-36 cassette, I had ample gear range, but the low end was a little tall for some of the very steep climbs. To put numbers into perspective, the 30T gear allowed me to pedal 1.2 times per rear wheel revolution while the 24T allowed me to pedal 1.5 times per rear wheel revolution. To someone who pulls heavy trailers and climbs the occasional steep hill, this is a necessity. The chainring is high quality 6061-T6 aluminum alloy construction, which makes it very light (22g) and strong. The silver finish looks great as well. This chainring will work on 10 speed drive trains, even though the link says 8/9 speed. Apparently, the chainrings on the different bike setups are nearly identical, just that the chain outer plates are narrower to compensate for more rear gears. Also, the lack of ramps and pins does not affect performance (and I'm not sure if 24T chainrings come with ramps and pins anyways). Shifting from 24T to 39T worked as easily as the previous 30T to 39T.Overall, great product and works as expected. Good work USA.

Works perfectly with 3x9 Shimano Octalink cranks in the middle position, 104bcd
The 3x9 (3 in the front, 9 in the back, or 27 speeds total) Shimano Octalink cranks with 104 bcd are shaped in a weird way. While the large and middle gears bolt together on the same bolt circle (104mm) the middle gear (this one), has a slightly smaller inner diameter than the larger gear. I'm not talking about the bolt circle diameter (bcd) but the actual inner diameter of the middle gear. In other words, the middle gear has more metal between the bolt holes and the crank than the larger gear does. I'm not sure why Shimano did this. Maybe they wanted to make sure the middle and large gear couldn't be mistakenly put in the wrong position. Whatever the reason, the 32T, 4-bolt, 104bcd gear fits perfectly in the middle position where no other gear I found could fit. Highly recommended if you need that middle gear for that Shimano crankset!

They seem to work.
I only have about 30 miles on them, but these chainrings seem to work fine. I am pleased with the quality and craftsmanship for the price. My old ones were warn to the point where a new chain would not disengage from the teeth under high load climbing. Putting on these new chainrings solved that problem.I did experience an incompatibility issue between my cranks and these rings. The old rings were not flat like these are, but had "ramps" for switching gears with wider spacing. The lack of ramps allowed the chain to slide in between the middle and the smallest chainring instead of dropping onto the smallest. I purchased the wrong type of ring. My fault. I was able to remedy the situation by inserting the chainring bolts backwards with an extra washer. This allowed the bolts to act as ramps, pushing the chain all the way onto the smallest gear.

Good value in a U.S. made chainwheel
I bought this as (1) Origin8 has a good reputation among those who wrench on bikes, and (2) it’s a U.S. made chain wheel for the price of an import. I have about 200 miles on mine so far with no signs or unusual wear.

Replaced Chain ring
I just got it, too early to tell how good it is, it will take time to see how well it wears. The part circled is the old chain ring, not all bikes have chain rings that can be replaced individually.

May not work like you thought it would
I was adding chainrings to the 130mm BCD double crank I bought. Long story short I ended up with these chainrings because initially I was going to use a 56 tooth large chainring and this is one of the very few offered (never did use the 56 tooth). So when I switched to a more traditional 39/53 set of chainrings I just ordered another set of the Origin8 rings. I wasn't thinking and the item description for these chainrings doesn't warn you that it is going to shift like crap going from the 39 tooth ring to the 53 tooth ring. These chainrings have perfectly straight teeth except for 3 or 4 half teeth. They are fine for innermost rings or single rings but are not suitable at all for a large ring on a double or middle or large ring on a triple. I replaced the 53t Origin8 ring with a SRAM 53 tooth ring that has pins and ramps and it of course works perfect. I'm using a brand new SRAM chain and a brand new Dura-Ace front derailleur so it isn't something else. For the deliberate deception of the manufacturer I gave them one star. I should have known better but they should have told people in the listing to save the frustration of having to return items that don't work worth a crap. I kept the inner 39t ring, we'll see how well it lasts. It looks good and is perfectly straight.Speaking of returning the chainring, the 3rd party vender "365 Cycles" I bought from refused to honor the return policy in the item listing and just made up a 50% "restocking fee" when I returned the 53 tooth ring. Just another "we've got your money, what'r ya' gonna' do 'bout it"

Perfect for affordable 1x conversions.
Perfect for converting my 3 x to a 1x. Not a narrow wide but still much better than the original middle chainring. Seems high quality and very light. 5 bolt chain rings are hard to find and the narrow wide options are very expensive. This seems to do the trick for 1/3 the cost.
