Good product
These knives have a better edge than many I have bought, and they are inexpensive. I don't know how sharp they will be over time, but I have one that my grandmother owned and it's still very sharp. Let's hope these new ones hold their edge, too.

STAINLESS STEEL!!!!!!!
We bought and returned 2 other packages of knives that were advertised as some version of stainless steel - but definitely NOT. Even the reviews were confusing (rusting, not rusting, blah blah).These are 4 gorgeous, sleek, exceedingly sharp stainless steel knives at an extremely affordable price. Buy them if quality is what you want and money is what you want to save.Btw, if you aren’t sure about the knives you already have/bought, just get a refrigerator magnet and if the knife stays attached to the magnet it’s stainless steel!

Great steak knives
Great set of steak knives. Comfortable handles, even for smaller hands. Good weight. Look great on the table.

steak knife that is my favorite cooking knife, but…
The knives are sharp and easy to sharpen. The curved blade works just right for most jobs such as chopping and slicing while still being able to view my hands and what I am doing. The handles fit my hands and are easy to grip and hold. I really, really wish Chicago cutlery would make these same knives of one piece metal. I find myself using them for cutting raw meat and peeling and chopping vegetables. Because of the wood handle I end up sterilizing them in a hot oven which is not good. If the knives could be made as one piece metal without changing anything but the materials and one piece design they would be super duper wonderful. Just be sure to texturize the handle well. I have a whole set of these kitchen knives and the steak knives work better for almost everything.

Great Steak Knife
I love these Chicago Cutlery steak knives. This is my third set. I have one in my travel trailer and several others have walked off or have been misplaced. Although they arrive with a fairly decent edge, I like my knives danger sharp. It is noteworthy that the quality of the steel is quite good. I base this on how difficult it is to reprofile the edge and bring it to a razor-sharp edge. It takes about 10 to 15 minutes per knife, using first the Shapton wire puller, then the 320, then the 1,000, and then the 5,000 grit stones. However, if you prefer a slightly toothy edge, nice for steaks, you can stop at the 1,000 grint and save three or four minutes. The walnut handle is well-fitted, high quality, and affixed with brass pins. Upon receiving them and sharpening them, I recommend rubbing down the handles with food grade mineral oil in order to protect them from water. Never wash these fine knives in the dish washer.

Love these knives
These are great knives. Comes very sharp and ready to use. The grip is ergonomically designed and fits great in the hand, Would highly recommend.

Solid
The knives are beautiful. Be sure to treat the handles with special food-grade oil (look it up) before the first use and don’t put them in the dishwasher. I ordered a second set when I saw how well they work. I tossed all my old steak knives.

Great knives for the price.
These are great steak knives. They are MUCH better than knives of comparable price and are almost as good as very expensive steak knives.The straight edge cuts much better than a serrated steak knife but because there are no high and low points on the blade it can get dull. The blade sharpens very easily and keeps its edge for the most part. If you have guests that are used to using bad steak knives they might dull your knives faster. You need to be able to take care of this knife to make it last. I use a highly rated sub $10 sharpener on mine and the knifes have always been great. It takes me less than 15 seconds to sharpen each blade because the edge is designed to be sharpened.There are very few flaws for these knives. On one of my knives the handle has a tiny bit of play in the handle but its minuscule enough that if I wasn't searching for it I wouldn't have noticed it. This flaw doesn't change how the blade handles at all and the amount of play is so small it doesn't make it unsafe or get things stuck in the handleI would buy these knives again and I recommend them to friends.
