Pro Moto Billet Motorcycle Kickstand PMB-01-5004

This is my second pro moto billet kick-it kick stand. The first was purchased for my CR500AF and for the 4 years I owned the bike, gave me no problems and only needed a squirt of chain lube every now and then. This one has been installed on my 2006 yamaha YZ450FFit and finish are exceptional. Not only is the part nicely machined billet but it's been clear anodized to give it added protection. You can still scratch it and booger up the finish during a crash, boulder bashing, or if the bike falls over however. The kick-it mounts to the existing footpeg mount and once folded back up under the number plate, esentially disappears. Neither kick stand has deployed on me while riding. There are solid detents in both the open and closed position that keep it either open or closed. Since the stand is rotated up almost 180 degrees when closed, hard landings from jumps really don't try to force the stand open, like what would happen if the kickstand was mounted horizontally like along the swingarm.Installation is straight-forward and only takes a few minutes. I used blue (medium) thread locker on the bolts for peace of mind.The 2 concerns for this accessory are weight and cost. This is a significant chunk of aluminum and adds noticable weight to the bike. I ride in the local desert and rarely get way up in the air anymore so the weight is a non issue for me. I can lose the extra weight in a good week at the gym. The cost is up there though. I am at a point in my life where I know it's worth it to me to buy the right part the first time and this is the right part. Your milage may vary.I hated the act of riding up to Slash X, Randsburg salooon, or the In&Out at outlet center drive and searching for something to lean my bike against while I go in for a burger or soda. This kick stand solves the problem nicely. It won't work in soft dune sand like glamis or dumont because it sinks in but I haven't had a problem with it anywhere else.

Kick stands bolts on easy! Easily folds up under fender on yzf250f and fairly easy to find it with foot to kick it back down. When on ground I think bike is at a good angle I can sit on it and kick my bike. Very well made pricey but worth it in quality and ease of use. The spring tension does not allow stand to come down during rough rides!

Solid product, well built. Easy to install and had all hardware, just needed to add lock tight. My only complain is that when kickstand is in up position it his left panel.

Best looking, strongest kickstand I've ever used. I love the enclosed spring as well, it doesn't budge when it's up & it's never in the way.

Im 5'7 so my yz250f is just tall enough to give me trouble starting. Also 170lbs so dont weigh enough to weight the bike down lower when starting. Able to use kick stand in woods with really soft dry ground as long as no severe hill around. Great for open areas as well. Can easily kick stand and lean away from it find a balance to sit on bike in fields. Not putting all weight on stand. Using common sense and it seems like the best purchase for the bike.
