Beautiful quality journal!
This is a beautifully crafted journal with sewn binding for an elegant look and lasting quality. The pages have a nice feel and are heavy enough writing does not show through from the opposite side. The gold embossing on the cover is gorgeous and reflects the original artwork of Andrew Lang’s Green Fairy Book. A beautiful keepsake.(This is not a large journal, as stated in the description, but this company also makes a larger version if that is important to you.)

Perfect and aesthetic!
This was exactly what it looked like, small journal with gold detailing. It has a pocket in the back, a black elastic, and a red bookmark that I didn’t like so I cut it out. Absolutely perfect, WOULD RECOMMEND!

Get this, the golden fairy is whimsical, and brings good luck to you. :)
This thing is beautiful. Its the type of notebook you would WANT to keep for a very long time. So definitely only buy this as a gift or for a special project, or anything which involves long term use. It would be a crime just to use this as regular writing paper. It also has one of those black stretchy strap rubber band closures that wraps around the outside of the notebook. Which is optional, and does not need to be used. It is not obvious in the pictures that it has one, but it does. This does not effect the quality of the product at all, but more so adds to it. Very beautiful and even a historical (read the insert carefully, the art on the notebook is over 100 years old) product. Back when people used to actually know how to draw REAL looking fairytale fairies. Worth getting.

Beautiful journal
This journal is absolutely magical. Nice quality, the cover is made of fabric and the gold embellishment is so beautiful against the green color. I would not hesitate to purchase again for myself or as a gift. Very nice.

very pretty BUT could be better
the journal itself is very high quality. the cover actually feels like a book from back in the day & the pages are nice and thick. it even has a design on the pages themselves! (unfortunately not very visible on camera)there's an iridescence to the gold foil which makes it look a bit cheap but not enough to dock it a star. the reason why i gave it 4 instead of 5 is because of the bookmark and the elastic band. it would look a lot better if both were gold or even a lighter olive :(
