These work great for certain safes
These work awesome on gun cabinets. Magnets are pretty weak but easy to add some strong ones. Highly reccomend for smaller safes with not a lot of room

It works (?), somewhat, it's flimsy, cheep like.
It's ok, just for the price I would not recommend this, unless it drops to $10.00 or less. It's made from cheap material that you can gather yourself at the hardware or hobby store. The walls are flimsy plastic, the "rivets" pull out, the screws holding them just pop out, the foam is generic and the magnets are just those "cut, peel and stick type (buy on amazon) and should be stronger. It will only hold on the side of the safe, but not overhead (magnets are not strong enough). the price is way overboard, if they sell this for $5-10, buck I will get it, but not for the $25.00 I paid for. It works, but it's cheap and flimsy, not something that may not last long with use.Overall, buy the material and build lots of them yourself.. it's nice project and you may be able to perfect it. Carry on :)

Really nice product that can make a difference.
My main purpose for purchasing these was to gain some room in my Safe. I am easily using the horizontal model of this product for that purpose and have left details in that review. So quickly here I'll say that the advertised dimensions are accurate, the foam is more than capable to hold the pistols and hold up to storage use and the plastic dividers/ ends are strong enough for the job also. They are holding a full load of 1911 pistols without a problem. My note here is that if your looking for a 'quick draw' type this is much better than the other model. The only problem I found with this one is you'll have to give up quite a bit of shelf space in order to allow yourself room to acquire your grip and pull the pistol up and out. Of course this is merely when used as shown. I'm sure there's some clever ways to utilize this rack if your so inclined, to make it work better for you. But for the regular people be prepared to move your shelves around to accommodate the 'quick draw'. I think out of the choices for these racks I would use this one in a range bag. It holds onto the pistols better than the other. If you need a little more info please see the review for the other style sold by Pro Ears.

Holds six assorted revolvers and pistols almost perfectly
Nice form factor and holds a variety of .22 revolver, .38 revolver, and 9mm Auto just fine. Worth noting that the bottom seems to be able to open to accommodate long barrels. Not sure the point of that since it would interfere with the designed upright position. I guess if you only had a collection of long barreled revolvers you could use this in a quickdraw position and forgo the magazine storage. The bottom and back are just the exposed foam. Worth noting in case you plan to adhere it or screw it to some surface. Kind of killed some of my plans for it as I wanted to affix this to the wall of my safe, but I doubt I'll get the adhesion I need to the foam for the weight of 6 pistols. Now it sits on the floor of my safe waiting for me to build a shelf for it.Also, the black portions are made of a plastic, flexible report cover kind of material so the whole thing flexes a little. Not quite as solid as it appears, but still a good made in USA product. It's also better than any of those wire rack and other solutions out there.I'd imagine it would fit great in a range bag or even certain sizes of ammo can, and it's super lightweight. All-in-all it's tough to find a good handgun storage solution for a safe out there and this fits the bill almost perfectly.

Storage
This pistol holder works great for general protection and organization of your handguns while not used in safe. Great fit for full or subcompact size handguns. The magnets on the other hand are not very strong. Don't expect the magnets to support your hand gun unless you are placing it on a shelf or floor. For my safe storage organization and support this is a great product. As my safe grows I will be purchasing more.

This is a really nice way to store your handguns
This is a really nice way to store your handguns. I got mine so I could put them inside the front door of my safe. Rather than buying and installing the other half of the velcro patch (which it does not come with) I just bought some cheap heavy duty magnets with adhesive sides and stuck them on there. I tested with with a revolver with a 6.5" barrel and it worked very well. I even tried it using a very heavy High Point .45 and it worked perfectly. I think using magnets is a better option since the velcro strip comes pre-attached and is vertical and only about an inch wide. The velcro option may work better for some, though. The rack itself seems to be pretty sturdy and holds the handguns in a good position. I'll definitely be buying a few more of these.

Absolutely overpriced. Look elsewhere
After receiving this product, it occurred to me that perhaps I didn't know WHAT to expect when purchasing these gun holders....but what I CAN tell you is - it wasn't this cheaply made, flimsy, completely overpriced item. There isn't much to say about this outside of "look elsewhere", but I want to at least provide SOME clarity on my judgement, to help others from making the same mistake:- The magnets are pathetic. They barely hang on to anything, and forget about them holding up the weight of a gun.- The overall feels, looks, and IS cheaply made. The outside frame is extremely thin and flimsy, and is basically two thin sheets of plastic that are holding two pieces of foam together.- Regardless of what pistol you are storing - none of them really "fit", they just kind of "drop in" and end up in random angles....I truly do not know what they were going for with this design, but universally speaking - it UNIVERSALLY, doesn't fit a single handgun I own, or could even picture.

Solid, great accessory for any gun safe
We use this in our main gun safe to give us a little more room on the door for pistol storage, but it would work well anywhere you have a solid metal surface. Can hold a Sig P320 and P226, both loaded w/full mag and it doesn’t budge an inch. Strong magnets keep it in place. May pick up another one or two if the handgun collection grows more and we don’t want to buy another safe.
