I love most DK published books. They provide great quality pictures and information. I often give these away for bday gifts for kids and everyone loves them including parents.

More than just animals! This book is lived by my three year old who absolutely adores sea creatures! She loves reading this book and learning about new animals.

We had been waiting for it to go on sale to by of our kids. (6 & 4) They both love the ocean animals. They are obsessed with the book and keep saying how excited they are about it. Educational and great pictures!

My 3-year-old is obsessed with animals and the ocean and begs to watch ocean documentaries daily. He absolutely loves this encyclopedia and enjoys matching his ocean animal toys to the pictures in the book and pointing out the different types of animals and educating others on them. He brings this book to bed every night and brings it out of his room to look at during the day. It has needed some repair work since he is not the most gentle with handling it, but I will gladly repurchase this many times over because it is so engaging and educational for him. He proudly explained to his grandma that some whales like humpbacks have baleen and they eat krill, and other whales like sperm whales have teeth and they dive deep and eat squid... all things he learned and retained from us reading the book together!

Brought this for my 4 yr old grandson who loves animals. Honestly we spent the better part of 2 hours just paging through it and reading the descriptions and captions to him. The beautiful pictures and artwork captivated him. It's the 2nd of these books that I bought for him and he loves them.

Wonderfully arranged books full of colorful pictures and information that brings the ocean to life! Great value for the content.

Oh my gosh. For the first time EVER I'm grateful for a power outage! I read the book on my Kindle and was actually disappointed when power was restored! I love the DK books and will spend more time, "old school" enjoying more than tv. Thank you for the reminder and the experience!
