DO NOT CONNECT YOUR ANKER PRODUCT TO AN ASUS LAPTOP
I have NO idea if the lack of working was the fault of the adapter or the laptop itself.NOTE TO SELF: NEVER BUY ANOTHER ASUS PRODUCT!The laptop is a powerhouse. 24G of RAM and a 1TB SSD. 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1355U 1.70 GHz!EXCEPT ASUS saw fit to NOT allow you to use an external CD-ROM drive. You can't get to the BIOS to enable a function that would LET you use one. Their UEFI are limited and I have yet figured out how to GET to the BIOS because their documentation is HORRIBLE. Also, the equipped USB-C fitting is NOT able to do ANYTHING but provide power. So, again, USELESS. YOU CAN'T EVEN USE AN ASUS EXTERNAL CD-ROM WITH THE ASUS LAPTOP.That said, I have yet to see if the adapter even works. I have no doubt it does - IT'S AN ANKER PRODUCT. I have yet to find one that didn't work.[EDIT] Hooked up the Anker adapter to a REAL laptop, a Lenovo. The adapter worked PERFECTLY! I had two 24” LED panels fired up and an extended desktop set up. EFFORTLESSLY. Once again Anker JUST WORKS.Three stars upgraded to FIVE.

Works as expected.
It works as I expected. I connected that to my laptop and two external monitors. There is an excellent contact with service desk of the vendor. Initially i thought the device was broken but finally it was one of my displays. Now when it's got repaired all work perfectly. I have no issue with Anker adapter. It works very well with Lenovo Gen3 T14 but only well with Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 (one display working instead of 2). In this second case I guess, the laptop cannot split the screen into three displays - laptop and two monitors.

Works like a charm
Gives me the ability to use two big monitors instead of using my laptop's screen ultimately giving me more desk space as can hide the laptop away. I have had zero issues with it, completely plug and play.

Anker stands behind their products.
Update: Although I did have problems with this HDMI adapter as soon as I notified Anker they gave me a full hassle free refund. Anker is a company that can be trusted. I bought this to hook up my Lenovo laptop to two 4k monitors. My monitors are blacking out randomly for a few seconds and while watching YouTube videos I noticed that sometimes the video gets scrambled for a few seconds. I also noticed that my monitor placement changed all by itself in my windows settings. I know that Anker usually stands by their products so I am not sure if I should just return this and find another brand or if they will fix this for me. I saw other brands had better ratings and that the reviews of this product was not that great but I still went with Anker because most of their products have been flawless.

Product failed after 3 weeks of use
At the start, I was successfully able to connect my PC laptop to my two external monitors and it worked flawlessly. However, after a couple of weeks, it started experiencing episodes of screen flicker on the external monitors, literally flickering every 7-10 seconds. I was able to fix this by rebooting my laptop and I didn't think much of it until it happened again, and again, and again. The final straw was a few days later when the connector failed to load on either external monitor. After troubleshooting, I was able to get it to work with only one external monitor but as soon as I'd try to connect to two, both would show up with black screens (unconnected).I am now returning the product and would urge caution about ordering one. I am on my laptop all day long and I suspect the adapter could not handle being used to that degree. You should expect that it could handle it, but it could not.In retrospect, I found other 1-star reviews complaining of the same or similar problems. I also see them on its more expensive version that costs about $49. I'll be looking for a product from a different company.
