As a disclaimer I did get this for free to test. However I do not allow this to influence the reviewI got this to connect a senheiser headset with separate 1/8" mic and headphone plugs to a samsung phone and ps4 controller. It works flawlessly for each. Sound quality is good and even jiggling the connections I heard no additional noises. People I talked to said the sound quality was excellent.The shape of the plugs is good and allows for a solid grip when disconnecting the plugs. The plugs are identified by an inked marking. Its hard to tell how well this would hold up over time. It is away from where you grip to disconnect the plugs. Though your hands could likely be on the markings when connecting it. Personally I would have preferred color coded or stamped ends to be able to recognize the plug orientation. This is even more true in low light conditions. I wish I could rate in half stars as this takes away from the design. However its not worth deducting a full star.Overall this adapter does what its designed to do, seems robust and is priced decently.

This product functions exactly as described. That's the most important thing. I bought this splitter to use my microphone and headphones at the same time on my phone. I make videos and use my phone as my audio recorder so I needed a way to use my shotgun mic and monitor the audio it's capturing through earbuds. This splitter allows me to do it perfectly and has revolutionized my audio recording experience. Before I would have to record a few tests and adjust levels on my mic but now I can monitor the audio real-time and adjust everything before the 1st take.It also worked for my nephew who wanted to use his headphones and microphone on the Nintendo Switch. He plugged headphones and mic into the adapter and then into the Switch and now he can finally talk to his friends while he's gaming. The Nintendo Switch in particular is notoriously difficult for voicechat because of Nintendo proprietary reasons but this circumvented any issues.After functioning perfectly, the next most important thing is the build quality. I've only had this about a week but I have put it to work and it's holding up fine. The cable has a braided outside cover that makes it feel heavy duty, plus it helps prevent tangling. The connectors are robust and feel like they could be run over by a car and not break (do not try at home).Overall, I am very satisfied with this product and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to input two sources into one 3.5mm jack.

I've used the splitter on my Samsung laptop which has the combined Mic/Headphone plug. Worked perfectly to allow me to use an regular TRS microphone and headseat for virtual meetings and recording/monitoring audio.Cheap in price but actually feels very well made.Will see how long it lasts, but so far it's been issue free.

I was looking for a splitter to add both my beyerdynamic DT880 Pro (B0024NK35S) and my Sony Compact Stereo Lavalier Microphone ECMLV1 (B08YJQXJRM) to the Steam Deck: works perfectly!P.S.: You can attach the microphone to a cable loop (U-turn) you make with the splitter on top of the Steam Deck.

I was about to return this cable adapter because no sound was coming through the headphones and no voice was recorded through the microphone. Then I thought of swapping the input jacks and then, both worked just fine!. That's a big negative point for this product that reveals improper QA processes! For the value of money, I think it's a little bit pricey!

This solved the connectivity problem I was having. The only drawback is that the plugs are difficult to connect.

Huge upgrade over the previous version. All metal connectors. Beefy, molded split junction. Solid connectors all throughout. This cable allows you to connect an external mic to a smart phone while letting you listen to playback without disconnecting. It would be cool if it allowed live monitoring of mic input, but that may be product dependent. I.e. phone developer or setting.
